We really enjoyed LEAVING ……. REFLECTIONS AT HAWKS NEST!

The stay at Reflections Hawks Nest, was the worst experience we have ever had to endure. The park is old and run down, amenities in the same condition and the price charged is high! The management was totally incompetent and really couldn’t care less.

It was fine during the day although the amount of tents, vans, trailers and cars seemed very excessive, on the adjoining 8 or 9 sites, compared to the normal Reflections Parks policy.

But at night a communal feast seemed to be held with a central Gazebo food tent, Karioke machine and projector screen!

For 2 consecutive nights, yes that’s right, 2 consecutive nights we were subject to an absolutely disgraceful performance by the adjacent sites where a group gathering was going on before the main event started. (Friday night was after 11.00 before we called management) Karioke, with a machine, projector and very loud and out of tune vocals!

These people had no respect for anybody in the park. Ditto the park managers, Who actually said, “that people are allowed to enjoy themselves “! As are we!

Friends and visiting people were arriving and departing at all hours using the facilities whilst cars blocked the road to other users.

Any other caravan park would have certainly asked the offenders to leave after the first night!

We should have been offered an apology, instead of, we can move you to another site.

Disgraceful performance all around.

We will never stay at Reflections Hawks Nest again and we will ensure that this event is widely known!

We have stayed at many Reflections Holiday Parks and have NEVER encountered this behaviour or total lack of...

Checking into Reflections Hawks Nest on a very miserable, rainy day, I was warmly greeted by friendly faces at reception. After sharing a bit about my solo travel journey (from Melbourne up to Cairns and now back to Victoria for the ski season), I instantly felt welcomed, understood, and genuinely looked after.||After weeks of non-stop rain, a leaking rooftop tent, and too many nights sleeping in my car, I was utterly exhausted. I’d come to Reflections simply hoping for a hot shower, a safe place to park, and a bit of Wi-Fi to reconnect with loved ones back home in the UK.||But the rain didn’t let up — it got worse. As I made soggy treks back and forth to the camp kitchen, trying (and failing) to stay dry and positive, a member of the team, Noel, noticed. Without hesitation, he kindly offered me an incredible upgrade: a warm, dry, safe cabin for the night.||As a solo female traveller, that level of care and consideration meant more than I can express. He didn’t have to do it, but he did. It completely turned things around for me. It wasn’t just about the cabin; it was the gesture, the humanity, and the genuine kindness behind it.||The cabin was wonderful! With fantastic facilities and an extremely comfy bed. Throughout the stay the team at reception were helpful, friendly and welcoming. ||Noel and the team at Reflections Hawks Nest/ Jimmys Beach went above and beyond, and I’ll always remember how looked after I felt during one of the more difficult parts of my journey. Stayed at Deluxe Cabin for long weekend. It has covered car spot. The air-condition and TV were in both lounge and main bedroom. Very lovely veranda. Linen was clean. Good kitchen. Location is beautiful. Close to the beaches. Some disadvantages: - bed isn't stable. it's on wheels, so it's moving all over the room on any move. - the cabin isn't new, so dusty flyscreens and very unclean sidebed drawers (on a pic) presenting it's a great meeting point for cockroaches. (on a pic) - clean bathroom but with quite strange tap (on a pic) and bad water pressure I may come back, but only course Hawks Nest is amazing location.

We won’t be back, it would seem that the park is catered for caravans predominantly. Upon visiting: No pool 1 BBQ tucked away in a corner Deteriorating bathroom facilities Communal kitchen was at the front gate, not even in the middle of the park No trees for shade Vending machine prices did not match food products. Camping grounds were mostly dirt. The park needs help or younger aged team members willing to attract visitors as the park was no where near 80% capacity and therefore you can understand why other parks are of higher demand.
