Nest Cafe — Restaurant in Hawks Nest

People reading this, if you want good food steer clear of this place. If it were possible, I would've given this place a half-star rating just for friendly staff. However, there was no effort in the meal preparation. I ordered a beef salad which tasted and looked as if it had been made by a three year old. There were a total of three ingredients: dry leaves, two halves of cherry tomato and slices of meat which were impossible to chew. I mean at least try to make it look good. This was by far the worst meal I have eaten. Additionally, someone I was eating with had three large pancakes with bacon thrown on top of it like someone was blindfolded and decided to see how badly they could decorate it. The problem is there was nothing but pancakes and bacon with a little maple syrup. No fruits on top or anything. A avocado smash was also ordered and it came out so terribly, there aren't enough words in the English language or for that matter any language to describe how horrible it tasted and how pathetic it looked. Quick walk from camp ground avoid the heavy squeals meant the covered outdoor tables a nice sheltered area to have lunch. Simple fare, of burger, chips, iced chocolate. All cooked as you waited. Bread roll was great and the size was big but too big to be uneatable. Loaded with bacon, which myself and my dog equally enjoyed. Personally I prefer it a little crispy. Salad fresh, crisp and makes you feel less guilty eating a burger. Unsure as to what the burger was, but gave me generic frozen vibes ( childhood memories). However, as it's off season, such savings have to be made. Chips, were I'm guessing standard catering fare ( frozen and supplied by the Kg ) but well cooked, hot and seasoned well. All in all it was worth the walk and the getting wet on walk back. There are plenty of cakes, bagels and other cafe staples to try. So, don't go on my one review, give it a go. Businesses...

I actually don't know where to start... this cafe is connected to one of the best IGA's I've ever been into. That's where it ends... breakfast this morning was the worst I've had placed on a table anywhere in the world! I asked for hard poached. They came out soft. I asked them to just put in and zap to fix. They returned with eggs so hard as a rock you could use as a ball. A crust?! A extra meal also was delivered we didn't order.
