Green Door Motel — Hotel in Lavington

The Green Door motel is an absolute treasure. After a long drive all you want to do is to be able to get into your room, throw your shoes off and relax and Green Door Motel allows you to just do that. Once you have booked in the Awesome Managers will text you a PIN code to get your room key out of a safety box next to your front door allowing you to get in straight away rather than filling out forms in a motel reception. The rooms are made up beautifully, ( the housekeepers should be applauded for their absolutely amazing work they do in the cleanliness and make up of rooms ), even including a microwave and a decent size fridge, not like the ones in other motels or hotels that are the size of shoeboxes. You are even supplied with a toaster, crockery and cutlery. The Managers are wonderful in communication and keep you informed of any upgrades or changes to your booking. Green Door is one of the cheapest motels along the Hume Highway, where you need to set expectations for the price point. The key point to consider is the value provided where I was happy with the motel for the price. It is a budget motel where there are nicer motels in Albury if you are prepared to pay over double the room rate of the Green Door.||||I booked a room for 3, and received a room out the back section with a double, 2 singles, plus a couch, some crockery, a fridge and a microwave. The bathroom was clean, but the decor / tiles gave it a 1970s feel. The tiny basin was difficult to fill the kettle, where the hot and cold and on separate taps (i.e. no option of a 1 tap warm water blend), although the room had plenty of towels, soap and shampoo provided. One interesting aspect of the motel was the lack of a reception, where the check in / check out / wifi instructions were sent via SMS, requiring the collection of the key...

This place is a health hazard. I don't think they have cleaned the room since it has open... The mattress is a crime, there is a think coat of dust, the carpet looks like it moves, and clearly has not been vacuumed in some time... There are stains everywhere and the mirror in bedroom does not pass the two way mirror test. The bathroom has black mould and the air in the room was thick with various unpleasant odors .. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Autswich probably had better standards than this place. Instantly itchy as soon as entering and I want to burn everything that has been in that room. I feel like my health is severely comprised staying here.
