UPDATE REVIEW 6/4/24 3 Day golfing trip beginning day one at Wirrina GC and Links Lady Bay. Staying overnight at Wellington Hotel. Day 2 playing Lake Albert GC and Robe GC. Staying overnight at Crown Hotel Kingston. Day 3 playing Kingston GC and lastly Keith GC. The course was in excellent condition. It played like “summer” conditions...... the ball sat up beautifully on the manicured fairways and we got great roll. The “challenging” greens were in excellent condition. Well done to the ground staff. Graeme in the pro shop was very welcoming. We had another fantastic day out. UPDATE REVIEW 24/8/23 The course was in magnificent condition. It played like “summer” conditions...... the ball sat up beautifully on the manicured fairways and we got great roll. The “challenging” greens were in excellent condition. Well done to the ground staff. We had another fantastic day out. UPDATE 26/8/22 Been 12 months since we last played The Links Lady Bay. We used a crazy deals which was $79 walking including a beer for two people ($89 with a cart). Great value. To give you an idea of how good the course was…… we’ve had the wettest winter in the last six years. There have been a few golf courses that have closed due to the boggy conditions. We’ve played four different golf courses from Sandy Creek in the north to Goolwa down south in the last four weeks. The Links Lady Bay was in outstanding condition…… There were no boggy parts anywhere on the golf course. In fact we had excellent roll on all the fairways. The greens were superb to putt on. The hundred plus bunkers were all being raked as we were playing. I caught up with Steve (head grounds keeper) and congratulated him on the outstanding condition of the course. We gave ourselves a real challenge and hit off the blue markers which certainly added a minimum of two club lengths per hole. Darren and Veronica were very welcoming and accommodating in the Proshop. The weather was outstanding and we had a glorious day out. The Links Lady Bay deserves its status of being in the top 100 golf courses in Australia. Please read my previous reviews which describe the environment and layout of the Golf Course. UPDATE: 24/9/21 Same….. same. Please read my previous reviews. UPDATE: 7/5/21 Links Lady Bay is one of the ”stand out” golf courses in SA. It is rated in the top 100 in Aust. We play the course a couple times a year. It never disappoints. About an hours scenic drive from Adelaide. The course was presented in excellent condition........ well done to Steve (headgroundsman) and his ground staff...... we had a great chat with Peter and Jack who were proud of their course. The course has a wonderful undulating “links” layout with manicured fairways and large greens. There are many deep and strategically placed bunkers that add to the overall challenging experience- particularly off the back markers. There are some excellent holes ........ the par 3 17th is a standout. Very peaceful and relaxing setting with kangaroos adding to the overall wonderful experience. This is an excellent course to play all year round, particularly in winter when other golf courses are “boggy”. Staff are very welcoming. Always look forward to our golf trip. Watch out for specials throughout the year - currently Crazydeals $79 includes game for 2 and a drink or $99 with motorised cart. Be sure to add Links Lady Bay to your bucket list of courses to play in S.A. Update Review 5/7/19 We played our third round of at Lady Bay this year. What a brilliant day. The weather was magnificent for the middle of winter – 17°. The course was in outstanding condition. Fairways, greens and bunkers were in top class condition. The greens, as usual, were very challenging. They rolled beautifully all day…… The greens beat us!! I just read that Links Lady Bay is number 60 out of the top 100 golf courses in Australia……… I reckon it is better than some of our top rated metropolitan courses. Well done to the groundsstaff. We are organising another round of golf in the next few weeks.... Looking forward to our next round.

My husband booked this resort to celebrate many occasions, for our son’s first birthday, his birthday, our first family holiday and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, our stay was deeply disappointing. Upon arrival, we asked about parking and were told it was a public car park. It wasn’t until our last night that we discovered there were designated spots for guests. This would have been helpful to have known when we arrived due to having our baby with us and the amount of luggage. Within 20 minutes of entering the room, our son had black feet from crawling, the floor clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned (and walking around didn’t feel hygienic). Yet we would have been charged extra for room cleaning or additional towels. The shower pressure was weak and the water only lukewarm, the shower hose broken with the sharp metal casing. The last morning it flooded and didn’t smell very nice, while the kitchen tap delivered scalding hot water, inconsistent and problematic. At lunch, we struggled to find kid‑friendly meals on the menu. We decided on chicken & mushroom dumplings, but when I started cutting them, they looked pink. Another dumpling had the same issue. I tried a piece, and it turned out to be chicken and prawn, not what we ordered and very concerning since shellfish is one of many major allergen for babies. I alerted staff and stressed how dangerous this could be (anaphylaxis). They took the plate to the kitchen, confirmed it was due to a previous function, and eventually served us correct dumplings and refunded the wrong dish. While I appreciate the resolution, I shouldn’t have had to catch this myself. This stay was marred by hygiene issues, poor communication, and a serious food safety issue. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, especially when families with young children are involved.

Lady Bay Resort is a golf course and resort located 1 hr from Adelaide and30 from Mclaren Vale, situated adjacent to the seaside town of Normanville. The outlook of this resort is picturesque with rolling greens and plenty of kangaroos to see. The resort has large comfortable rooms and even with their own separate lounge and dining areas and kitchenettes. Our room also had a spa. There is lots to do on site, kids park, fully kitted out gym and pool. There’s also a games at arcade area and day spa. There is a decent bistro/restaurant and bar on site and we even got to do trivia there. Meals were big portions and served efficiently. The Links lady bay is complete with championship golf course. The greens are superb and the course is in great condition, a long course, it can be challenging with wind. There’s practice facilities too; a chipping and putting green as well as a driving range. There is a pro shop and it had a large selection of golfing equipment. A few downsides; rooms aren’t cleaned. That’s outrageous when it’s not covid anymore. The resort doesn’t have coffee and they don’t provide even pods to make your own (and there’s a machine in the room. You can pay a box for $10. Overall we liked our stay and we look forward to staying again.

(It happened a few weeks ago and thought I had already posted this) We were there only for dinner, and it took around 10 mins just to get a table that we had booked on the balcony. At first the very young girl told us there were already some people at our table and were we going to join them??, 2 of us and only a three seated table where 2 people were already sitting. She then consulted with the dark haired man who was serving and then she took us into a smaller dining section where I informed her that I would prefer a table on the balcony as I specifically booked it. She came back to ask the dark haired man at the bar who was extremely busy, and she had to wait to get his attention. Then his annoyance showed as he had to "find" a table on the balcony which I might add had only the one couple sitting out there amongst about 10 empty tables. He allocated us a table and then proceeded to say we would have to be finished by 7pm (we had first arrived at 5.50 for a 6pm booking). Then 5 minutes after we were seated at the table they gave us, the dark haired man came and pointed at the table next to us and said with no apology, and rather abruptly that he had spoken to the guy that took the booking (who he admitted had written my name slightly wrong) that "That table over there is yours" and made us move. The line up to order food was a confused chaotic affair. People not knowing who was in line and who wasn't and very little room for people to line up causing blocking of the entrance into the area. After ordering 2 entrees for myself and one mains, my husband had to wait 20 mins even after he told them of their error, to get his well after I had finished mine. He also went to the bar to order a house red as listed on the menu, for $8, only to be told they don't do house wines and then was charged $12 for a glass of wine. The food was quite good, just the service severely lacking. The staff need better training and if they don't enjoy being in hospitality, they need to change along with their attitude. Severely disappointing especially the fact that we are local and support this business regularly, which usually can do a...

What a delightful mini break we have just enjoyed at this location! Outside the weather was perfect for the past 3 days only this morning showing signs of the wet and cold that are about to blanket vast areas of the state. Built on the hillside a couple of kilometres from the centre of Normanville, the resort facilities include a golf course, pool, tennis court and children's playground all of which were well maintained.

The golf course was picturesque and very well attended and we noticed most people maintaining social distancing and having a great time just being with friends.

The room amenities of our king suite were excellent. Being a self contained suite the wellplanned and equipment stocked galley kitchen was situated along the mainwalkway into the room which lead to a good size lounge and dining area. This area has sweeping views of the golf course and to the coast some 2kms away. The horizon shimmered at dusk and the night sky showed everything that we usually miss because of light pollution in the city.

Adjacent to the living area was the good size bedroom and we were very happy with an excellent king-size bed that was extremely comfortable. Decked out with sheets that were of a high quality threadcount, and with loads of pillows on the bed and in the cupboard from which to make you choice, it was easy to just lay down and relax.

The bathroom duplicated the bedroom in size with a walk-in shower adjacent to a full size and deep bath. A large vanity area and toilet completed the personal grooming section and tucked away in a well planned nook was a 1/2 size laundry sink, washer and wall mounted dryer. A cupboard held cleaning equipment together with iron and ironing board. The double access, from the bedroom and also the main walkway near the entrance, makes this bathroom space really user friendly.

This resort was a terrific place to be our base for our activities up and down the coast as we visited little towns and the various farmers markets and stores.

I'd be extremely surprised if you didn't enjoy a stay here - Just let go...
