Pretty good to have an easy camp Facilities are decent, think they could restock the soap and toilet paper a bit more often when fully booked. Ground was pretty hard so make sure you bring a mallet for your pegs. Also pretty dusty so people driving past can kick up a bit of dust. Would also reccomend keeping your rubbish in the car overnight cause our neighbour got their rubbish broken into by some wildlife Overall pretty good, lake was fun to take a dip in and quiet times were pretty well adhered to. Would go again. Some very nice 1hr walks nearby as well that weren't too hard if you're not fit.

We had a great time camping here for 3 nights after Christmas. Great amenities - flushing toilets, hot showers and a gas bbq - all included in campsite price and cleaned daily so given it’s a camp site, very clean! Fresh water also available too. Lots of walks from the campsite, we enjoyed the outdoors and hanging around the campsite and using the fire pits at night. Only downside is that it’s all dirt and almost clay, no soft grass or sorts but then again this is Australia so expected.

Nice campground, good facilities for where it is. Sites are very hard for tent stakes and showers/toilets aren’t maintained extremely well; but that’s to be expected. Everything worked though and hot water was good. Zero cell reception so ensure you take a radio. Seen things about noise but had no issue when we stayed (Mon-Wed during off-season). Overall good site, very peaceful, very nice fire pits (x4). Heaps of wildlife such as wombats, roos, a friendly fox, and tons of birds.

Candlebark Camping Area is hands down one of the best camping experiences I’ve had! Nestled in a beautiful, serene location surrounded by tall trees and nature, this camping spot provides everything you need for a peaceful getaway. It’s a perfect mix of rustic charm and well-maintained facilities.

The campsites are spacious and private, allowing you to feel immersed in nature without the overcrowded feel of other campsites. The area is well-kept, with plenty of fire pits, picnic tables, and clean amenities that make the whole experience comfortable. Plus, the staff are super friendly and helpful, ensuring you have everything you need for a hassle-free stay.

One of the highlights is the amazing atmosphere. The sound of the wind through the trees, the birds chirping, and the peaceful environment make it feel like you’re a world away from the everyday hustle. It’s an ideal spot for those who love nature and want to unwind, whether you’re hiking, fishing, or simply relaxing by...

Very small, dry hard sand sites, not grassy, very close together (no privacy when it's full), lucky it was empty and we chose to set up our tents on a higher grounded site opposite our booked site (150) because when it rained it flooded everywhere and became a muddy pithole with campers on lower sites needing to dig trenches so they didn't get washed away. Definitely does not fit 2 cars and 2 tents let alone a kitchen or gazebo set up. Book a few sites if travelling with friends or just to have the extra space/privacy. Fire pits are a nice fire safe amenity, toilet and shower blocks are always a luxury with camping but still feel they could be tended to daily seeing as the rangers didn't skip a day at 8am sharp to say hello. Walking tracks and wildlife are amazing and all in all we had a blast hence the 3 star rating, it is what you...

I don't often write a 1 Star review but when the information on their site is false and misleading then they earn a 1 Star review On a positive note the toilets and showers were great But and here the issue

On the map it shows the campsite right on the lake

That means cool breeze being near the water

We were 200 to 300 metres inland which made the campsite hot and dry.. awful

My kids hated it and frankly I never would have booked the site if I knew it was inland from the lake

So disappointed

2.5 hour drive booked for 5 nights had I'd known it was situated where it was I would have...
