Candlebark Camping Area is hands down one of the best camping experiences I’ve had! Nestled in a beautiful, serene location surrounded by tall trees and nature, this camping spot provides everything you need for a peaceful getaway. It’s a perfect mix of rustic charm and well-maintained facilities.
The campsites are spacious and private, allowing you to feel immersed in nature without the overcrowded feel of other campsites. The area is well-kept, with plenty of fire pits, picnic tables, and clean amenities that make the whole experience comfortable. Plus, the staff are super friendly and helpful, ensuring you have everything you need for a hassle-free stay.
One of the highlights is the amazing atmosphere. The sound of the wind through the trees, the birds chirping, and the peaceful environment make it feel like you’re a world away from the everyday hustle. It’s an ideal spot for those who love nature and want to unwind, whether you’re hiking, fishing, or simply relaxing by...
Read moreVery small, dry hard sand sites, not grassy, very close together (no privacy when it's full), lucky it was empty and we chose to set up our tents on a higher grounded site opposite our booked site (150) because when it rained it flooded everywhere and became a muddy pithole with campers on lower sites needing to dig trenches so they didn't get washed away. Definitely does not fit 2 cars and 2 tents let alone a kitchen or gazebo set up. Book a few sites if travelling with friends or just to have the extra space/privacy. Fire pits are a nice fire safe amenity, toilet and shower blocks are always a luxury with camping but still feel they could be tended to daily seeing as the rangers didn't skip a day at 8am sharp to say hello. Walking tracks and wildlife are amazing and all in all we had a blast hence the 3 star rating, it is what you...

We were 200 to 300 metres inland which made the campsite hot and dry.. awful
My kids hated it and frankly I never would have booked the site if I knew it was inland from the lake
So disappointed
2.5 hour drive booked for 5 nights had I'd known it was situated where it was I would have...
