So, so, so relaxing and such a wonderfully simple and easy place to stay!

This is a really long review, and I don’t do this for many places, but I’m just so impressed by Camp Jordan and our stay.

We booked at Camp Jordan mainly because of how affordable it was to stay in the Glamping Tents and for the convenience as we were attending a function at Banks Cafe which is right next door. Well, to say I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and by our stay is a complete understatement.

Firstly, the Glamping Tents are gorgeous. As a family who regularly camps off grid this was a new experience for us, and with a 2 year old in tow we weren’t sure how it would actually go. It turns out we had nothing to worry about - it feels exactly like a hotel room. The amenities block is very close by (everything is at Camp Jordan) so it’s not any trouble to head out if you need to use the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, we had plenty of pillows and blankets, and the tent had both a portable heater and a reverse cycle air conditioner, so comfort was well and truly taken care of.

Secondly, the actual set up of Camp Jordan itself is just absolutely perfect (especially for young families). The energy is so relaxed and carefree. Despite being a pretty small set up (which I personally loved because it means there’s less people 😅), there’s still plenty to do. The pool is GORGEOUS and heated! It has sun beds (the proper ones with comfy padding), was never overly busy, and the only loudish noise that came from it was from children playing, which is always okay in my books. There’s a games room for the kids, a huge kitchen filled with almost anything you need for preparing your own food, and an undercover outdoor area across from the pool so the grown ups can hang out together too. My toddler loved the lawn games and mini golf, especially the giant chess pieces. There’s even bikes you can borrow to ride around town.

We didn’t end up hiring a boat or fishing equipment or taking out any of the kayaks or paddle boards, but it we’d stayed longer we definitely would have done some of those activities. There’s just SO much on offer, I was honestly blown away. The staff we saw were so friendly, they were helpful when we needed them otherwise we didn’t see much of them (which just added to the relaxing energy for me), it was all very laid back. We were delayed during our travels, so had to contact them to adjust our arrival time. The staff were so lovely and we then got sent a text with all our check in details. Check in was as simple as being able to arrive and just go straight into our tent, the staff had even put the air-con on for us so the tent was beautifully cool when we got there. The only tiny thing that was not even a negative, just a bit of confusion on our part, was whether or not the towels provided get changed during your stay at all. We did end up needing some fresh towels (joys of having a toddler, right?) and it was as easy as finding one of the staff who then brought us plenty more. That’s literally the only thing I can think of to say that could be, for lack of a better word, a criticism (which it’s not by any means).

To top it all off, there’s even a couple of cafes within 100m of Camp Jordan. We didn’t have to go far for our morning coffees and we really enjoyed the food from Chow Haus when we needed lunch (it was SO good). We ordered Uber Eats one night and had no issues getting our order, so that’s also an option if you stay here.

I feel and probably sound like I’m trying too hard to make Camp Jordan sound good, but I promise this was exactly how I felt during and after our stay - it’s like it’s too good to be true. If you’re looking for somewhere ridiculously simple, easy, relaxing, carefree or if you just don’t want to have to think about making any decisions, definitely book a night or two here. If you like it as much as we did, you’ll end up booking another night or even more to continue your stay (just like we did). Our experience was just absolute bliss! Thank you...

My son and I loved staying at Camp Jordan during the April 2025 school holidays. The park was very aesthetic and Instagrammable! We stayed in a glamping tent, which was an intro to camping for my son. The amenities were close by, and there were two showers in the ladies' bathroom and two toilets (I assume the same for men). We never had to wait despite the camp being full, and they were clean. The location was peaceful, being away from the main town but a short drive away. I appreciated the no party policy, it kept the park respectful among the guests and peaceful. Having. the pool, putt putt golf, chess, and games room kept my son occupied while I used the camp kitchen/pizza oven and BBQ for our breakfast. Due to the weather and an action-packed itinerary, we never took advantage of the boat/kayaks on the water. The cafe on the water had great coffee too. Regarding the glamping tent - towels and soap, shampoo, conditioner and water were provided as well as bedding, I found them to be comfortable despite the springs, there were plenty of pillows. Popcorn, heater and air conditioner was a nice touch, too. What stood out to me was the staff, Jess and her sister helped you feel at home, were friendly and helpful. I noticed a real community among the staff who looked after the camp like their own and made everyone feel welcome, and I felt safe as...

We stayed in Burt the Airstream at Camp Jordan and honestly, I’m not sure if we were camping or accidentally booked a boutique hotel on wheels. Burt was spotless, comfy, and full of retro charm. The Camp Jordan team (Les & Jason) were absolute legends so warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely. Their sons, Blake and Harry, took my daughter under their wing, taught her to fish, and gave her the full local tour (she’s now convinced she’s part of the family). The pool, a stunning, warm oasis that we basically lived in. Between the views, the vibes, and the amazing hospitality, this place is pure paradise. Can’t recommend it enough we’ll definitely be back (so keep Burt free for us)! Love Lyndall & Maddy Xxx
