My hubby and I had a sneaky little lunch date at Banks on Saturday. The service was spot on from the moment we walked through the doors. We were sat outside on the verandah as requested. It was such a glorious sunshiny day and in my opinion one of the best restaurant views in Port Macquarie. ThenâŠthe food OMG we both agreed it was the best meal we have had out in ages. Everything was exceptional and couldn't be faulted. The stand out for me was our shared entree the burrata, my first taste of burrata but certainly not my last! We stopped by Banks Cafe on a whim for brunch and were blown away. No booking? No problem - they found us a waterfront spot straight away with zero fuss. The staff were lovely - genuinely warm and attentive without being overbearing.
The menu is thoughtful and ambitious in the best way. We tried the housemade white chocolate & banana bread (yes, it's as good as it sounds) and the butter poached prawn croissant, which more than lived up to its local fame. You can tell the kitchen really knows what theyâre doing.
Between the waterfront views, sharp service, and food that rivals top city spots, this place is a standout. Canât wait...
