My hubby and I had a sneaky little lunch date at Banks on Saturday. The service was spot on from the moment we walked through the doors. We were sat outside on the verandah as requested. It was such a glorious sunshiny day and in my opinion one of the best restaurant views in Port Macquarie. Then
the food OMG we both agreed it was the best meal we have had out in ages. Everything was exceptional and couldn't be faulted. The stand out for me was our shared entree the burrata, my first taste of burrata but certainly not my last! My hubby is still raving about his main, the steak which was both generous in size and cooked superbly. I may have snuck a few bites and it was pure melt in your mouth. We are usually pretty fussy and quick to find fault but honestly we loved every second of our dining experience. We’ll be back Banks that’s a given!!!...

A Stunning Hidden Gem by the Hastings River

Banks CafĂ© in Port Macquarie is an absolute hidden star! With breathtaking views overlooking the gorgeous Hastings River, it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a fantastic meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, made even better by the incredibly friendly and helpful staff who go above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience. The food is exceptional—beautifully presented, packed with flavour, and made with high-quality ingredients. Given its beautiful location and well-deserved popularity, I’d highly recommend booking ahead, especially in summer when it gets quite busy. Whether you're after a leisurely breakfast, a long lunch, or just a great coffee with a view, Banks CafĂ© is a must-visit in...

A hidden gem that absolutely delivers.

We stopped by Banks Cafe on a whim for brunch and were blown away. No booking? No problem - they found us a waterfront spot straight away with zero fuss. The staff were lovely - genuinely warm and attentive without being overbearing.

The menu is thoughtful and ambitious in the best way. We tried the housemade white chocolate & banana bread (yes, it's as good as it sounds) and the butter poached prawn croissant, which more than lived up to its local fame. You can tell the kitchen really knows what they’re doing.

Between the waterfront views, sharp service, and food that rivals top city spots, this place is a standout. Can’t wait...
