We booked a two bedroom chalet at 7.30am on a Sunday for one night for 2 adults and a child. Upon arrival at 3pm we were told that our booking can not be found which is not true because we received a confirmation email shortly after we booked. T he lady that manages the caravan park said that they had no clean rooms. At the end she managed to get us our chalet but it was not clean and the beds were not made. She seemed to feel bad and offered us a full refund that we never ended up receiving. We made an early booking that was not seen by the management because it was her day off and they obviously they forgot to block their calendar so they would not receive a booking on that day and then we were kind of questioned by her as how did we make this booking. Um through a website that showed availability for your caravan park on that day. How else? We never asked for a refund but just because it was said we would get it and never did is not cool. We even helped clean the chalet and made the beds with her which is not part of the deal when you pay $260 per night and it was clearly their error. I phoned them a week later to see what is happening with the money and she again said oh yeah I'm not going to charge you for that and...

We have had several stays at this park in the past and would rank it as one of the best we have stayed at. Unfortunately, there has been a change of management and we immediately noticed that standards had declined. I would have to say that our recent visit was probably our worst experience in a Caravan Park in 30 odd years of travelling around this country. Upon arrival we were told we would not be able to take the site booked 5 months ago due to electrical problems and were subsequently moved twice. We were promised that if we stayed on the final site we could stay until our booked departure date. The very next day they reneged on that, told us we'd need to leave 3 weeks early prior to a long weekend, and denied that they'd made that promise the day before. Upon leaving they point blank refused to provide us with the name and contact number of someone at Tasman Tourism, the owners, that we could talk to in order to express our dissatisfaction. We won't be back whilst the present management...

This is half a retirement village and half a holiday park. Some of the pensioners dislike the holiday makers it seems. The facilities are spotless, plenty of toilets, hot water, showers, basins - miles above average for a holiday park. For the holiday park experience I recommend the following to management: Tell your cantankerous pensioners not to complain about kids using the pool, or make campers feel unwelcome in general. We met some lovely older people, but the cantankerous ones can spoil the atmosphere. Get rid of the 20c coin box for the hotplates, I think it sends the wrong message. Allow kitchen windows to open. When we had a 42 deg heatwave, the kitchen was, and remained a sauna. Install some fans.

The location is pretty good, walking distance to shops, Serpentine Falls, hiking area, TransWA train stop, roadhouse, and skatepark. Tent sites are pretty good. We had high winds, and it seems that is not unusual.

I...

We spent 2 nights camping in a tent. I was very impressed with the generous site as we have a big tent and it was not a problem to fit everything on. It’s dog friendly in the tent area do that is a bonus too. Proximity to fully equipped kitchen and bbq area, toilets and showers was great too. Swimming pool with partial shade was lovely. My only reason for not going 5 stars is the lack of activities for children. First campground I’ve ever been to that doesn’t have a playground. But all In all a great stay and would go again.

Like many other reviews have mentioned, it can get extremely windy at night, so just prepare for the worst if you are camping. We planned to stay for 2 nights but only managed to stay for 1 as we couldn’t sleep due to the relentless wind and also had to get out to reinforce with additional pegs in the middle of the night. One of the poles in our friend’s tent also snapped. Otherwise everything else was fine, with decent facilities just about what you’d expect. Just beware of the wind.

Nice campsite with power. Toilet&shower is clean and well-maintained. Kitchen is small but convenient. They also have laundry machines. There are permanent resident villas in site with different access however quite at all time. Perfect place for camping and tracking. We had no problem left our stuffs inside and outside tent while we were tracking. Very safe place.
