Glasshouse Mountains & Beerwah Motel — Hotel in Sunshine Coast Regional

FILTHIEST place I have ever stayed!! This hotel room was absolutely disgusting. It hadn't been cleaned before we stayed. There were pubes in the shower and on the toilet. The toilet bowl had a bulid up of filth in the bowl. The seat had spattered poo on it. There were cobwebs through out. There was mould problem throughout. The kitchen bench grout was filled with mould. Dining chair chushions were mouldy. Mould on ceiling. The room hadn't been swept or vaccumed and there were dust balls in all the corners. Dishes in the cupboard were dirty to the point they still had coffee in them and were sitting on a grimy/mouldy shelf. The sheets had brown stains on them. All the kitchen draws were filthy as well as the cuttlery. We tried to leave but the owner had already gone to bed. WORST ACCOMADATION EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!

The next morning I approached the owner who acted as if he had no idea. He asked me to write a list to pass to the house keeper. When I went on he said just write a list because he didn't want to be bothered by it. He then tried to say that we were only complaining because we weren't happy about paying extra on arrival after already paying through a booking sight. I explained that I wasn't happy about that but this was a whole nother situation. He then said he couldn't be bothered, walked away and slammed the door. Later when I took the keys back I tried to stress to him that it was a health issue. He said he had never had a compaint before. I then mentioned that after arrival we read around 30 similar reviews that he had responded too and asked him why he was pretending it was the first time. He then told me that he didn't care about those people because its only one person's opinion. Then he just kept repeating"goodbye" until I left...

I spent the first year of covid at this beautiful Motel as a semi permanent home... This Motel doesn't feel like a Motel for me it has a staying at home feeling with a slice of being on holidays with a massive block and wonderful flowers and nature to look at. Everyday was another surprise from the tiniest green tree frogs no bigger then your pinki finger nail to the inviting large in ground pool. Lovely views of the Glasshouse mountains and neighbouring views of paddocks and plant nursery... breakfast is amazing as well. The caretakers realy take care of you here its extremely clean and the air-conditioning is nice and cold ... it's even close to fresh fruit n vegetables and a Chinese takeaway across the rd and few minutes drive to major shops and train staion you can walk there its that close.. however you still feel deep in that lovely country atmosphere I highly recommend staying here if your looking for a place to stay for the night few nights to few weeks it can get booked up quickly so it might pay to ring in advance.. I hope this review has helped you in making your decision on where to stay ... if you do ask ahead for a lovely home cooked breakfast absolutely delicious... there is a few different varieties of layouts of rooms there pending on how many people are staying the night . And if your looking at a permanent position or temporary permanent ask they might have something available.... I would also like to add how clean and tidy the place is with comfortable beds hot showers cooking facilities available and previously mentioned cold air-conditioning and reverse heating in the colder months .. Location is great, beds looked clean and comfy, but that is where it ends.||||The overwhelming smell from the carpet and goodness knows what else is very noticeable. When you close the doors multiple air fresheners covered in dust did very little to the smell.||||The mould was extensive in the shower, on the walls on the side of the toilet system was very visible. Faecal matter on the toilet clearly indicated the room had not been cleaned at all, and likely not out of full clean in a very long time.||||Sadly my day was cut short due to an allergic reaction to the mould and dust. I was no longer able to stay in the room. Number five, the owner was very helpful in trying to find me somewhere else and she showed concern to my distress.||||However, upon talking to my doctor, it was made evident that this is a health hazard and a complaint to the relevant departments was made, which then followed up with a text message from the owner themselves.||||And extremely rude text message regarding my complaint highlighted extremely unprofessional behaviour given their motel has such extreme dirty conditions||||In her text message she signed off…, Karma||||Which I find ironic as there’s no karma, her motel is disgustingly dirty and caused me major health problems. Was that my karma , having an allergic reaction To the mould and dust I had facial swelling difficulty breathing And it cost me extra to find somewhere else to stay and also the medical bills that followed. ||How appalling of a behaviour.||||The irony of her words is astounding! ||||I do not recommend this motel if you value your health, mould...
