Although we had activities planned during our visit to Stanley, every time we returned after a long day the views from Horizon Deluxe Apartments never got tiring. No matter if you’ve opened the balcony door to a cool morning or are shutting the electric blinds to a clear night full of stars, the views, in my opinion, are the best you will find from any accommodation in Stanley. The outdoor balcony and surrounding have enough space to enjoy eating Al Fresco style, while still having plenty of privacy from the other apartments. A full breakfast was provided for every morning with a wide selection of foods to satisfy even the biggest eaters. Breakfast included bread, croissants, jam, bacon, eggs, sausages, orange juice and milk, plus more than enough Muesli, Weetabix and Cornflakes for the two of us. To complement the breakfast, there was a selection of tea and surprisingly good coffee from the machine in the kitchen. The staff were excellent to deal with from the moment we contact them via email, then throughout our stay once we arrived. Then again, it’s not like we had to request much. We stayed in the Godfrey apartment.

We recently completed a driving holiday around Tasmania and stayed in this amazing place in Stanley called Horizon’s. As the name suggests you are perched high on top of a mountain overlooking Stanley and the nut. The accommodation is little self-contained cottages. The cottage was so perfect – everything you could want, the bed amazing, full kitchen and laundry if needed that come with washing powder and a dryer. If you get in late, there are some microwave meals in the freezer, snacks and drinks in the fridge ready for you too. The balcony on the unit gives you an uninterrupted view over the area, it feels like you are on-top of the world. The staff onsite were really helpful, professional and efficient – we really loved our stay here, sadly was only a night – but we would like to go back and stay longer to enjoy the privacy and views that this beautiful little property offers!!

Seriously, we dropped our jaws when we entered the apartment. We stayed here for 25th Dec Christmas Day (which is today!) and im already typing this review! Im also surprise to find out the eggs, bacon, yogurt, milk, bread, cereals etc are complimentary!! We also brought our own food to cook for dinner as nothing is open on Christmas day. The kitchen and utensils are clean. The balcony is amazing, overlooking the stunning view of Stanley. The lower part of the sofa can be extended so you can straighten your legs. There is also a bath tub by the balcony. Although the furniture / style is not the most “modern” but still, the overall standard of this place is very high and I would highly recommend it!

We were extremely happy with our choice of Horizon Apartments from the moment we arrived the check in was easy the lady was very helpful, with information and tips to make our visit more enjoyable, the apartment was very well designed with quality inclusions and tastefully decorated, the appliances were of good quality and worked as expected the layout of the apartment was well thought out, taking advantage of the stunning views and natural light, the ensuite is well finished with an amazing shower, the only minor criticism is; there is a luxury bath tub between the king size bed and the full length windows, obviously to take advantage of the views while soaking in the tub but you can see into the apartment, while it is fairly secluded we did have a couple of people walking be and a guy cutting the grass outside of course you could close the blinds but that would defeat the purpose, it would have been better to have a blind or window covering you could see out but not in, there is a good size deck to sit and enjoy views of The Nut and the beautiful water views, we would highly recommend...

More Yucks than Luxe. Unfortunately upon arrival for a 2 night stay we discovered the toilet was leaking. This was reported to reception. Someone came and wrapped a towel around the base of the toilet and that's how it stayed until we checked out. This was not pleasant. Most would expect the establishment would find you somewhere else to stay, or maybe reduce the rate, or offer a bottle of wine, or anything at all to make up for it. That's not how they work. Instead you get charged over 800 dollars for 2 nights at full rate and just have to deal with it. You will find the bathroom sink is slow to drain, the tables all scratched, carpet fraying and nails sticking up on the deck. Our room also had a shared entry with the apartment next door. Once again unfortunately for us they had a lot of noisy visitors coming and going with the door slamming and their chats nice and loud in the entry late in the evening and first thing in the morning. The view is excellent. The diy breakfast supplies are very nice. After reading all the glowing reviews the reality was a massive and expensive...
