My partner and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at this old hotel in Branxholm. ||||The Scotch fillet was cooked exactly as requested and was served with a choice of gravies and 2 sides. My partner choose a mushroom gravy along with freshly streamed mixed veggies, roast potatoes as well as a potato mash. ||I enjoyed the house made rissoles served with a fresh garden salad and chips. 2025 update, 3rd and last stay here. Booked and charged for a Queen room, given a double not a big issue as I was on my own, but at least they could put a chair in the room and a drinking glass in the ensuite. Ate in both nights, first night was good but second night I ordered the crumbed flathead, very disappointing, one small piece of fish, a limited salad and just fleshed out with chips. Hope the owner can find himself a new chef. Steak overcooked to the state of resembling leather. Chicken schnitzel also overcooked and so dry it was near impossible to eat. Friend expressed her concern and the chef came out and was nothing short of aggressive. Friend given a $15 refund. Not appropriate for a $35 scotch fillet she couldn't eat.
