If you're anywhere near Branxholm, do yourself a favour and stop by. Home of the best pies I've ever tasted! Their 72-hour slow-cooked lamb pie is nothing short of perfection - deeply savoury, meltingly tender, and wrapped in a perfectly flaky, golden crust. The beef and mushroom pie is equally outstanding, filled with generous chunks of meat and real mushrooms. These pies are HUGE, stuffed to the brim, and every bite bursts with flavour! Every element is homemade, crafted from the freshest local ingredients, and it absolutely shows.

Make sure to head inside and cosy up by the fireplace while you savour your pie; the whole experience is pure comfort. And to top it all off, the owners are absolute gems—warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. Tin Timbers is a must-visit gem that absolutely lives up...

Stopped off for a "wee" bite at Tin Timbers during an MTB ride, but were treated to a veritable feast of lamb two ways and a monstrous piece of delightfully high energy salted caramel cheesecake! I opted for a lamb and gravy roll whilst my friend went with the lamb pie. ...homely is how I'd describe the presentation of what was to be, by far, the best pie and roll either of us had ever eaten. The content of the pie was nothing but quality; sweet and rich with marrow and a delightfully gravy. The roll was bliss! The lamb was on another level, the gravy rich and silky with a burst of intoxicating flavours that set this thing apart from anything I've ever eaten prior. This place is the epitomoy of hidden gem

Definitely worth the ride out from Derby... juat try not to eat yourself into a food coma before...

We droped in here hungry on our return from mountain biking at Derby. Greeted by two lovely ladies, we decided to eat in. I ordered the best lamb pie I have ever tasted, a sizeable serving made on site from local ingredients and accompanied with a delicious local dark ale. My mate had a beef pie which was also delicious. The coffee was also great and when they found out it was my birthday, surprised me with a cupcake with candle and personal rendition of Happy Birthday 🎂 I could not have hoped for a better end to our short holiday. The cafe also has a small and interesting gift shop offering local artworks, alpaca knitwear and more. We'll worth a visit if you are driving...

All through our journey of Tassie I expected to find more places like this one. Angelina runs a lovely cafe and it was a great stop for us on our way through to Bridport. The pies were amazing (yes, the lamb and beef pies are among the best we've had). The kids were stoked with the pet llamas next door and couldn't stop talking about the cafe after we left. What a fabulous little quaint cafe that we were lucky enough to find. Thanks for your outstanding hospitality Angelina.
