It is hard to write a good review, because just as it was getting dark the power failed, and we didn't get power back until the next morning. There is no staff on site, so nobody to talk to or to get us an update. But I think it was the general area, so I'm not going to knock a star off the review. But keep in mind, there isn't any staff on site. First impression was that we were walking into a trailer park. Not very attractive, we were a bit worried about what we would find. However, INSIDE the units it was very modern and very clean. Excellent. Can't say much about the shower, it looked good but we didn't use it (no lights, no power). You can't beat the location, though.

Whether your a nature lover or just looking for a beautiful place to unwind this gorgeously new accomodation will tick all your boxes. From the "6 foot teenager" approved shower to the thoughtfully placed butterfly hooks in the bathroom and the crisp luxurious bedding to the generous decking overlooking the well maintained front garden- you will not be disappointed with these little gems. The Derwent Valley certainly holds a piece of our hearts with National Park sitting at the helm! PS. Do yourself a favour and grab that free coffee from waterfalls cafe (voucher provided) it's the perfect companion for your morning stroll to Russell Falls and beyond.

We wanted to spend a few days up in the Mt Field NP looking for/at rare plants (and the timing for the Nothofagus gunnii turning happened to coincide!) so having this as a base was just perfect. Everything was great, THANK YOU ๐Ÿ™

This retreat is in a great place. Loved the black kitchen sink. The bathroom is good with room on the bench for personal items. Great rain shower and toiletries i.e. Milie Organic products. ||Disappointed with the view from living space and patio consisting of partly grown tree ferns and someone's back fence.||Handrail is needed on the steps outside as per pod 9.||Instructions on how to use the appliances would be a good idea. Needs full size fridge rather than bar fridge and would benefit from an oven - maybe swap out the single function microwave for a combination unit ||Bed is comfortable but the lights on walkway reflect into the bedroom casting light strips on the ceiling. Perhaps block out curtains need to be added. ||More storage space would be nice such as a bench against the wall under the TV like the one by...

What a great addition to Mt Field National Park!

The new cabins are super comfy, super well equipped, spacious layout (including the ensuite) plus smart keyless entry, fast wifi, and terrific Milie Tasmanian made organic bathroom amenities. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Stayed during the 'soft opening' phase to 'test drive' the new accommodation. Mt Field National Park on the door step, so it's a great option to stay and safely discover the glow worms at night, or hunt out the tiny colourful fungi during the day.

The National Park Hotel, is 5 minutes walk away and not only is there a great dinner on offer (Thu to Sun) but there is a good wine list and possibly the longest parmi menu in Australia!!

Book yourself in soon for a couple of nights to explore Mt Field National Park, Maydena and the Styx Big Tree...
