What a gem of a park! It was one of the cleanest and tidiest parks I've ever been too. The staff were always working outside in the gardens, on the sites, in the bathrooms and pools and taking garbage. The 2 bedroom cabin with a bath in the bathroom was clean. We had 2 adults and 2 children. We arrived just after the heaviest downpours of rain for a whole week had occurred. We were allowed to exchange our towels every day for clean towels as well as obtain more blankets. We did this so as not to keep damp towels in the cabin which after the 2nd use weren't drying nicely. We had a balcony with outdoor setting, a 6 seater dining table and a nice kitchen, with Microwave, oven & stove. All the amenities if you needed to cook. There is an onsite cafe and mini store. Not open every day though. Made really nice coffee and the kids loved their milkshakes. We went with a group of friends and in the evenings, we would go down to the BBQ area down on the lake and throw a line in to fish in the lake. We only caught little fish due to so much fresh water from the rain, though it kept us entertained! On the last night we went up to the amazing camp kitchen which had a couple of ovens, stove tops, microwaves and BBP Plates, as well as chairs and tables. Has a swimming pool with a slide and then another little water play area with 2 smaller slides for the smaller kids. and a Spa. Also has an adult only pool to swim laps. Also has a good-sized boat ramp to launch boats and a jetty the length of the park on the riverfront to tie boats up on. I wish we were able to stay longer, though we only had small amount of time off work. I can't wait to go back and visit and stay longer next time! We loved the holiday and would...
Read moreVery clean with synthetic turf on most sites, and all sites appear to be very level. Seems to be very family and estuary fisherman orientated. If you want to enjoy a quiet stay however, this isn't the place. Lots of kids running/riding around and screaming, especially at the pool area. Many families seem to know each other, and some ignored the 10pm noise rule, partying till midnight. I felt sorry for others trying to get some sleep. The "Marriage Saver" tractor is running throughout the day moving vans and bins around which gets annoying. They seem very over enthusiastic to use the tractor and people have to disconnect their cars in the middle of the road, then the tractor positions the van.... sometimes simply straight back onto the site. This causes a lot of congestion on the narrow roads. There is nowhere outside or inside the park to stop when checking in. The sign says to "Press the button on the intercom and await instructions". We did that, and the boom gate opened, but nobody told us what to do. We drove in, but missed the sign that says to stop at the speed hump and check in, as we were watching the kids that were running across in front of our car. We stopped at a vacant site and checked in. The moment we drove off to our site an old man yelled at us to slow down, yet we hadn't moved even a couple of metres and didn't take off quick. Not a good start. Due to the congestion throughout the day, some people leave their cars outside the park and walk in through the back gate. A nice park and seems to be very popular, but...
Read moreWould’ve loved to have stayed here but unfortunately couldn’t even get past the booking process. I called up as advised on the website because we were booking with pets and wanted to make sure that our pitches were next to each other. The lady I spoken to previously was very nice and said that we could have 14 people across 2 pitches as 2 of them were toddlers and didn’t count. This time however the lady said that 6 per pitch was the max occupancy and the toddlers did count. That was fine with us as 2 adults in our group hadn’t actually confirmed yet so I said we would proceed with the 12 people across 2 pitches. For some reason this was a massive no. A lot of back and forth with the fact that she would have to take me at my first request of 14 people and couldn’t accept when I was telling her that the other 2 people would book their own pitch if they decided to join us. At one point I was even asked how the 2 toddlers would book their own pitch? Which made 0 sense as the 2 extra people were adults and we would never put 2 three year olds on their own. I asked to speak to someone else and was told no, placed on hold for a while and then told the same thing that she wouldn’t let me book 2 pitches for 14 people - again, not what I was asking for anymore. I was essentially called a liar, she must’ve thought I wanted to sneak the other 2 people in, despite me saying multiple times that they would book their own if they decided to join. Very frustrating. We have now booked elsewhere which is a shame as we were all excited...
