What started off really well ended in a bit of a funk.

We arrived early for a booking and ordered some cocktails and oysters. The oysters were delicious, we had the passion fruit gell, and the wakame and soy. They were fresh, tasty, perfectly flavoured. The cocktails were tasty too.

Next was pumpkin, feta and thyme arancini and salt and pepper squid. The arancini, delicious. Well seasoned, matched with great flavors. The squid was cooked well, tender but the salt and pepper was almost missing, like the chef forgot it all together. They were really underwhelming. We had some aperol spritz with our entrees and they were ok, light on the aperol and heavy on a pretty dry prosecco.

Next, we waited. A long time. Around 50 minutes, maybe longer. In this time we weren't offered water, any drinks and were left with our empty plates for a long time. We enjoyed the view but it was clear our order probably was lost in a line or pushed for bigger tables or something. Had we been offered beverages, we probably wouldn't have minded but we watched staff meandering around the venue, picking up a few glasses from unattended tables and slowly cleaning but ignoring us.

When the meals finally came, there were no apologies. The spice crusted barramundi was pretty tasty, the cauliflower cream and peas quite a good match. The seafood hotpot seemingly succumbed to the same fate as the squid, missing flavour. The broth was ok but missing the punch I expected from a hotpot. Not a lot of seasoning, lacking and the noodles were a bit overcooked. The seafood was in a reasonably generous proportion and cooked well but the dish was a let down.

We didn't finish our meals and got up to pay. No one asked us our thoughts on the meal or offered anything else. Had the service been on to it, I would have offered the feedback and skipped this review.

I'd potentially go back for a cocktail and oysters and maybe try their seafood platter, they seem to know seafood pretty well. I won't venture the menu again though, that's a waste of time and money in my opinion. Don't expect good service and...

👀 Being with a peskitarian, Oysters were a must for our Forster getaway.

Walking into Thirty Three Degrees, I was immediately impressed by the stylish and modern decor. The restaurant has a large outdoor terrace with stunning views of the water.

Thirty Three Degrees is a fine dining restaurant that specializes in seafood. They offer a variety of creative dishes, as well as a classic seafood tasting platter.

💥 The vibe at Thirty Three Degrees is sophisticated and elegant. The restaurant is decorated with white tablecloths and sparkling glassware.

💁🏼‍♀️ The service at Thirty Three Degrees is excellent. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, and they are always happy to help you to explain every oyster on offer.

🍴 I ordered the oyster tasting platter. Dressed Sydney Rock Oysters

Cold Selections: Dozen Aged Chardonnay Mignonette, Wakame Soy, Chilli Ginger, Mango Chilli, Passionfruit Gel

Full Dozen 54 (2 flavours) The platter included a variety of different oysters, each with its own unique flavor profile. The oysters were all fresh and delicious, and they were perfectly paired with the accompanying sauces and condiments.

🦪 Next time, I would love to try the seafood platter.

✨ Thirty Three Degrees is a great option for a special occasion meal. The food is excellent, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is romantic and elegant. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique dining experience...

I recently had an event for 40 people in the marquee at Thirty Three Degrees, and I am compelled to share my exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in the door, the service was outstanding. The bar staff were not only super friendly but also provided service that was truly second to none.

This venue stands out as the most beautiful spot to dine in Forster Tuncurry. The ambiance adds to the overall charm, making it a perfect choice for any occasion. Every single guest at our event couldn't stop raving about the food, agreeing that it was the best they had ever experienced at a wedding.

The oysters, in particular, were a standout. I've never tasted such exquisite oysters, and the watermelon and mint oysters were an absolute favorite among our guests. The attention to detail and the culinary expertise truly made the dining experience unforgettable.

I could go on and on about how every aspect, from the food to the service, left every person, including ourselves, absolutely blown away. Whether you're planning a wedding, an event, or simply looking for a delightful lunch or dinner spot, Thirty Three Degrees is the place to book.

I wholeheartedly recommend Thirty Three Degrees for its exceptional service, stunning ambiance, and unparalleled culinary delights. Thank you for making our event...
