MONDI Hotel Axams — Hotel in Axams

Rooms and the location are good, but these are the only positive things. Breakfast food was ok-ish, but the choice was super limited. Literally only bread, salami, cheese and yogurts (same every day). But ugh, dinner food was DISGUSTING, and they made us wait for it for more than an hour…. I couldn’t eat it and i am not even a picky eater after all. Later because of that we only cooked ourselves (thankfully there are kitchens in the rooms with pretty much everything you need, which is great, considering the quality of the dinner they offer). The closest grocery store is 10 minutes walk away, which is also nice.

The pool and the sauna were okay, except for the fact they didn’t provide with any additional towels for the sauna but still forced everyone to use their personal shower towels (the ones you have in your room) to sit on them in the sauna (ew, i don’t want to use my clean shower towel for the sauna where everyone including myself is sweating…. why?…)

Staff people (not everyone but many of them) often were quite rude to guests and even each other. Starting with passive aggression (it’s not just me, pretty much everyone who i discussed it with agreed).

The other moment that kind of pissed me off was the fact that you can not ask for water before you check in and after you check out??? we have arrived at 9:30 and obviously we were allowed to leave our luggage in the hotel, but when i have asked where can i have some water, the reception lady told i can’t. almost same thing happened while checking out. that’s weird.

This could be a lovely hotel. I’m sure it often is, but for us, sadly we just didn’t get to see it.||Firstly, we received an email to say there was a large group of young people staying so it might be a little louder. We rather naively assumed this would be a school group but it was a group of older teens who spent until 4am playing music, running about the corridors , shrieking and banging on doors. We chose not to confront them as we didn’t speak their language so just too awkward. We did make the hotel aware by email but no response to this.||What we were not advised about, was that the large group meant there was no restaurant available for dinner. Axams has next to nothing in it so to have no restaurant was not helpful. Thankfully the Hotel Kogele were accommodating and provided a delicious dinner.||The room is nicely maintained although had old food in the fridge on arrival. A selection of random plates and glasses (presumably brought up from the breakfast room) went with a hob and kettle making it a useful little base for a busy day.||The team were responsive when we asked for clean towels. We only needed them because the room was not cleaned on our second day and so the towels were not changed. The weather was not good enough to dry and reuse our towels unfortunately.||If you are booked to stay there then this hotel is ok. It’s fine. Basic, but fine. If you are warned of a group I strongly recommend you make use of any cancellation option you have and...

Wir sind in einer großen studentischen Reisegruppe mit etwa 70 Personen angereist. Direkt zu Beginn wurden wir nicht herzlich begrüßt, sondern man hat uns direkt wissen lassen, dass wir nicht willkommen sind. Durch Zufall konnte man noch das Frühstücksbüffet für die ,normalen’ Gäste sehen, was sehr vielfältig war. Dieses Frühstück stand uns leider nie zu. Am ersten morgen gab es nur Brot mit Käse und Wurst. Wir hatten mehrere Leute mit dabei, die laktoseintolerant oder Vegan sind, hier wurde keine Alternative angeboten. Genau genommen hätten diese Personen nur ein trockenes Brötchen essen können. Sehr schade, aber zum Glück gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe einen Supermarkt. ||Das nächste negative Highlight war das Abendessen am ersten Tag. Der Standard-Konzentrat–Saft aus dem Automaten wurde uns nicht mehr zugänglich gemacht, wir hätten nur gegen Aufpreis ein Glas erhalten. Auch das Abfüllen von Leitungswasser in die dort frei zugänglichen Gläser wurde uns strengstens untersagt. Wenn jegliche Form der Getränke nur gegen Bezahlung zugänglich sind, ist das sehr schade, was jedoch umso trauriger ist, ist die Wahl der Kommunikation. Die Hoteldirektorin schrie einen nahezu an und vergriff sich mehrmals im Ton, so geht man nicht mit den Gästen um.||Zum weiteren Verlauf kann gesagt werden, dass das Essen absolut nicht vielfältig war und keine Rücksicht auf Vegetarier bzw. Veganer genommen wurde. Das einzig Positive war jedoch das freundliche Service Personal, die allesamt stets bemüht waren. ||Die Hoteldirektorin hat auch im Verlauf kein freundliches Wort für uns übrig gehabt. Mir ist bewusst, dass eine Studentengruppe nicht zum einfachsten Klientel gehört, allerdings sollte JEDER auf Augenhöhe behandelt werden.||Ein weiteres Highlight war, dass die Hoteldirektorin an einem Tag sämtliche Zimmer durchforstete und jegliche alkoholische Getränke aus den Zimmern nahm. Angeblich wurde sogar notiert welche Getränke pro Zimmer entnommen wurden, wir haben jedoch unsere Getränke (2 Radler) nie wieder zurück bekommen (eine riesige Kiste mit allen Getränken wurde am selben Abend frei zugänglich gemacht, allerdings konnte sich jeder jedes Getränk nehmen, sodass auch wahrscheinlich viele ihre Getränke nicht mehr bekamen). Es geht jedoch nicht um die Menge oder um einen Geldbetrag, sondern ums Prinzip, die Art und Weise ist nahezu übergriffig und meiner Meinung nach inakzeptabel.||||Zu den Zimmern: ||Die Anlage wurde anscheinend in den letzten Jahren halb renoviert, die Art und Weise der Renovierungsarbeiten scheinen jedoch eher preisgünstig gewesen zu sein. Die Möbel wurden allesamt überstrichen und in einer Art Shabby chic gestaltet. Absolut unpassend zu dem restlichen veralteten Inventar (Teppich, Fliesen etc). Unser Teppich hatte massive Flecken, an der Decke war ein dicker Wasserfleck sowie weitere nicht deutbare Verschmutzungen sowie Schimmel im Badezimmer. ||Die Betten waren in Ordnung und auch die Fußbodenheizung im Bad war sehr angenehm. Ebenfalls war der Balkon ebenfalls ganz nett.||Der Wellnessbereich ist in Ordnung, nichts besonderes aber dennoch nice to have.||Alles in allem würde ich mich für weitere Besuche für ein anderes Hotel entscheiden, denn die gesamte Hotel Anlage ist keine 4 Sterne wert. Es ist absolut abgewohnt, auch der Zimmer Service war nicht vorhanden. Sehr unstimmiges...
