PizzaPazza — Restaurant in Axams

My wife, myself, and my mother went to Austria for a trip, as it would probably be my mother's last trip abroad. My wife and I live in Shanghai, so when we came and stayed in Innsbruck, we wanted to have some good Italian food we rarely get to have in China. The staff were very friendly and we noticed the restaurant is largely frequented by locals; a good sign. We took a short walk to reach the place and saw multiple people walking back with pizza boxes, which you don't see with some of the other pizzerias here in Götzens.

The food was excellent, and there was one young man who was attentive and seemed most fluent in English. His mother also works at the restaurant, so when my wife and I ended up coming back probably three or four more times (the food is really quite food), she would come to say hello, which made us feel welcomed. The owner is very friendly and comes around to check on people, while the waiter named Thanos mostly served us each time we visited. He's hilarious and stopped a few times to make conversation with us, even remembering where we are from, talking about his vacation plans, and so on.

The food is really great, the staff are wonderful, and the atmosphere inside is so quiet and free of bad tourists.

Das war's leider. Ich habe heute, zwar ein paar Tage später, jedoch unrelevant für mein Anliegen bei Pizza Pazza angerufen. Mein Mann hatte vor ein paar Tagen eine Pizza Paesana bestellt und diese abgeholt. Diese kam völlig durchnesst am Rand bei uns an! Ich fand das so unappetitlich.

Ich bin bereits seit Jahren Kundin bei dieser Pizzeria und das ist bei der Abholung einer Pizza noch nie passiert!

Als ich da heute anrief (nur mit der Absicht bescheid zu geben und ihnen die Chance zu geben, dass das in Zukunft nicht mehr passiert) wurde ich von der Dame am Telefon forsch angeredet, dass ich mich früher hätte melden sollen. Nämlich an dem Tag als das passiert ist, damit sie jetzt was machen können. Selbst als ich erklärte, dass ich sie nur darüber informieren wollte, rechtfertigte man sich damit, dass durch den Wasserdampf die Pizza durchweicht wäre. Wie kann es sein, dass die Pizza ansonsten nie so war und dann auf ein Mal, obwohl ja immer ein Wasserdampf in der Schachtel ist, am Rand so aufgeweicht ist, das die Pizza nass ist? Da muss Wasser darauf gekommen sein, weil's ansonsten auch immer gepasst hat. Im Restaurant wird damit geworben, dass man nett zu dem Personal sein sollte und selbst wird man dann so forsch behandelt, obwohl man nur helfen wollte, so wie ich gerade eben. Ich habe mir eigentlich erwartet, dass man sich bei mir bedankt, die Information bekommen zu haben und mir verspricht sich zu verbessern, aber da habe ich anscheinend falsch gedacht. Schade!

Noch eine Anmerkung zu den Desserts: Meiner Meinung nach gehört auch in das Tiramisu ein Ei statt Sahne rein. Das kann man meines Wissen nach in jedem echten italienischen Restaurant bekommen. Hier aber nicht. Und damals, als es das helle dickflüssige Karamell auf der Panna Cotta noch gab, war sie weitaus besser, als jetzt, wo das Karamell dunkel und so flüssig ist, dass wenn man es damit bestellt, die Panna Cotta darin schwimmt.

Sorry aber das war somit das letzte Mal, dass wir dort bestellt haben und wir wollen auch nicht mehr vor Ort essen gehen, wenn ich so behandelt werde als Kunde. Schade, ich war nämlich mal ein Fan...

Friendly service and decent pizza and convenient if you live on this side of the valley. That being said the WiFi was slow, the service was slow and they are Cash Only. If it wasn’t for a friend paying in cash I would not come.

I had a plain margarita and the sauce popped and the crust was thin. It doesn’t come sliced so you need to that...unless they forgot to slice it.
