Chalet M — Hotel in Gemeinde Vandans

I never heard of this little village called Vandans, located in the Montafon valley (province of Vorarlberg, Austria) but some raving reviews about ChaletM, located in that village, made me curious and so I planned our visit on our way to Italy!||When I visited ChaletM I knew I made the right decision! Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed by the Patron who offered assistance with our luggage, explained the services offered and provided visitors information ….||The room was specious, clean and comfortable! The bed linen was of hight quality and so were the towels! The bathroom, newly renovated, was super clean but not sterile! The balcony equipped with two chairs and a table offered a great view of the Alps!||The breakfast was served from 7:00 till 10:00 and the offering was in abundance! From cereals to fruits, cold cuts, smoked salmon (prepared in-house) to a variety of breads and homemade marmalades…they also offered five a-la-carte dishes freshly prepared! And all this…included in the room rate!||But most of all everybody who was associated with ChaletM was very friendly and helpful! Always, ready to assist and with recommendations which place to visit!|A journey consists of three parts! First comes the anticipation part, then the arrival phase and last the stay phase! Wat hebben wij een heerlijk verblijf gehad afgelopen week bij Charlet M! Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer en vrouw! Prachtig appartement, centraal gelegen! Auto kan je voor de deur parkeren en via achterom kan je in een speciale ski ruimte je ski’s en schoenen kwijt, met skischoen drogers. De kamers zijn prachtig en ruim. Fris! Zelf mooier dan we verwacht hadden! Het ontbreekt je aan niks! Het is er stil, je hoort niks van de andere kamers. Je kan al vanaf 13 uur inchecken en hebt bij uitcheck alle tijd om uitgebreid te ontbijten want je hoeft je kamer pas om 11 uur uit. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en zeer luxe! Een luxueus buffet met allerlei soorten kaas, zalm en heerlijk vleeswaren. Ook keuze uit veel gesneden vers fruit en verschillende yoghurts. De gastvrouw vraagt aan tafel wat je te drinken wilt, alle koffies zijn mogelijk en er is verse jus! Ook aan de kinderen werd gedacht! Nutella, warme chocomelk en gekookte eitjes! Naast dit alles is er ook nog een aparte kaart met de ontbijt specialiteiten van het huis, met elke week een andere kaart! Wat hebben wij uitgebreid genoten van de ontbijtjes met een knisperend haardvuur en relaxte jazz muziek op de achtergrond. De bedden sliepen heerlijk en de douche had een volle straal! Een gevulde koelkast voor wie dit wil gebruiken en eigengemaakte müsli bars. Aan elk detail is gedacht. De eigenaren doen dit vol passie en dit voel en zie je overal in terug. Je kan gebruik maken van de sauna en yoga ruimte. Alles is mogelijk en erg laagdrempelig. We komen graag weer eens terug!

Even weeks after returning home from Chalet-M, the dramatic beauty of the landscape and generous hospitality of the host made this one of the best trips I've ever taken. From the delicious home-made breakfasts to the soft as a cloud sheets, every aspect of the chalet and town were perfect. Thank you for the memories! We will cherish them...
