This hotel is certainly not a true luxury hotel; it only creates that impression because of its price. Neither the SPA facilities nor the service quality of the staff and management are at the level of genuine hospitality. Our experience made this very clear. Their unprofessional and even aggressive replies to negative reviews are further proof.

Before booking, we repeatedly informed the hotel that we would stay with our 5-year-old child and that the panoramic infinity pool was the main reason for our choice. We were urged to book via the hotel’s own website instead of Booking.com, supposedly to avoid problems. Yet upon arrival, we were told for the very first time that children were not allowed at the pool! despite having clarified this on the phone. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. No alternative like canceling was offered; instead, we were told our child could briefly visit the pool area for 5-10 minutes.

Other issues during our stay:

No help with luggage

Room noisy, facing the road & bicycle wash area, unfit for a family

Bed arrangement ignored, despite informing that our child sleeps with us

No air conditioning or fan, room stayed above 30°C, minibar couldn’t cool water

Dining area refrigeration failed; ice cream melted/refrozen, even cheese served warm

Guests left in extreme heat under the excuse of being “eco-friendly”

Half-board did not include even drinking water; only one 0.75L bottle was given at check-in, then water and all drinks charged at exorbitant prices

Pancakes were served with pieces of plastic basin underneath the counter (!) Plastic free breakfasts!

Our worst experience happened at the infinity pool floor. When we only wanted to take a few photos as a couple — without letting our child enter the pool!! we were treated as if our child was a threat. A child is not a disease or danger, yet staff behaved as if they were. One staff member interrogated me aside, another nearly hit my child by opening the automatic door recklessly. This was disgraceful, as was the general attitude we encountered.

In short: there is a major imbalance between the high price and the low quality of service. Hospitality, empathy, and professionalism were absent. This was a deeply upsetting experience abroad. Complaints will also be submitted via legal channels,...

Abendbrotzeit (18.30-20.30) essen gehen, wann man möchte.

This was our favourite hotel on our Euro trip. You simply can't beat the location, just steps away from the cable car for Leogang bike park. Our stay came with 2 free gondola rides up the mountain so we took advantage of that as soon as we arrived. But more importantly than that, all the staff are friendly and warm, and always make you feel welcome. The half board option was the best we had on the trip, and the afternoon snack after a hard day of biking was a welcome treat. Breakfast buffet was also impressive, from the selection to the quality, and the omelette made to order was great. Our room was on the 4th floor, had a balcony with chairs, and overlooked the bike park. The room was clean and comfortable and the mini fridge was stocked with local drinks. I found the pillows to be thin, but a simply request with the front desk and after we returned from dinner there were extra pillows waiting for us.|We stayed in the second week of September and were very comfortable, however do note that the rooms do not have air conditioning. This wasn't an issue for us at this time of year as everything cooled down nicely in the evening, but mid summer it might be a different story. In that case, request a room facing the other side so it doesn't get the evening sun.|The spa and pool were very relaxing, with great views throughout, and was a nice touch after enjoying the outdoors. |I can only rave of this hotel as everything contributed to a fantastic stay. Thanks for the farewell gift and I can't wait to come back and visit again one day. Thank you to the entire staff at Salzburger, you...

We had an absolutely outstanding stay at Hotel Salzburger Hof Leogang! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive – you truly feel like a valued guest. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with every detail thought through to make your stay relaxing. The highlight for us was definitely the rooftop infinity pool – swimming there while enjoying the panoramic views of the Alps is an unforgettable experience. The fitness room with its mountain views is also a great touch, making workouts feel inspiring instead of routine. Food-wise, the hotel is on another level: both dinner and breakfast were absolutely superb – varied, fresh, and simply delicious. The selection is wide, with something for every taste, and the quality is outstanding. The afternoon cakes are a real treat, perfectly paired with their excellent coffee and well-selected wines. Everything combined – from the hospitality to the facilities and the cuisine – makes Salzburger Hof Leogang a true gem in the Alps. We are already looking forward to coming back

Extremely Disappointing !!! – Not Family-Friendly at All !! Stay away of this Hotel! If you are traveling with children, avoid this hotel entirely. The infinity pool featured prominently in the hotel’s photos is not accessible to children under any circumstances — not even for a short visit or a quick photo. We asked politely to take a picture for just two minutes and were met with an unreasonably strict refusal. The staff were unfriendly, unaccommodating, and at times outright rude. There was no effort to make us feel welcome, and our experience felt far from what the hotel’s promotional images promise. This hotel does not cater to families and offers a cold, unwelcoming atmosphere. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and hospitable stay…. Edit: Nothing was said as you claimed; only the ugliness of the situation was emphasized. What was experienced was truly ugly.
