We stayed there for 5 nights and my opinion is divided: one for the room and one for the rest of the hotel (restaurant and spa).||The hotel itself is very nice and clean. Nice ladies in the restaurant for dinners and breakfast (English speaking), good food with good prices for the dinners. What I liked the most: they are very flexible when you want to choose your dinners: even if you are two or three in your group, you can decide if only one of two of you will have the dinner menu. The others can just have a soup or a salad, or just a drink, or no dinner at all. You will pay exactly what you get. You just have to let them know in the previous evening, when you get the form with the list for tomorrow’s dinner. The prices are very good for dinners: EUR 10,- for full dinner (soup, salads, and main course), EUR 2,50 for one soup, EUR 3,00 for a salad (if you don’t want the main course). ||Location of the hotel is also very good: a few minutes to walk to the center of Mittersill or 10 minutes to drive to Panoramabahn middle station. I chose to drive to the middle station of the cable-car because the slope comes down right next to the parking lot. You will also find available parking places in front of the hotel.||Now the nasty part: our room. It was offered as “small double room with shower, toilet, hairdryer, balcony, telephone, radio and cable-TV, The room was built in a 80s style and still belongs to our old building”. It was almost as specified above, except the part with the balcony – there was no balcony. But this is not the problem, the problem is with the look of the room: it was very dark, and everything looked old and outdated. The room is on the 3rd floor, and the roof of the house is blocking some of the light that is supposed to come from outside. Besides, the windows are very small, not regular windows. The furniture, also old, is too much for such a small room. The bed’s canopy makes the room look even more clogged and darker than it is. And the most important thing: right after check in, my wife found some hairs on the bed sheet, probably from the previous guest. That was completely unacceptable and we asked for new bed sheet. They offered us a free drink in the restaurant while the sheet was changed (as in washed and dried). The bathroom also looks very old, like it really was made in the 80s, not only in 80s style as advertised. But there was a good part as well: everything was functional, and clean except those hairs that made my wife really angry. The heaters in the room were kind of warm, but not as hot as they were supposed to be in the winter when the outside temperature was -5 C during the night. We had to wake up all night long to check on our child and be sure that he was covered with the blanket, otherwise he would have probably caught a cold. There were approx 20-21 C in our room. In one word: I consider that I paid much more then I got. In other parts of Austria, we stayed in rooms like this for 60 EUR/night; here we paid 100 EUR/night. OK, we had access to the SPA, but anyway, I consider it overpriced.||The spa was pretty fine, with saunas and pool. The water in the pool was a little too cold; anyway, you can use with it after a few moments and get some good splashing. Sometimes it can get too crowded, 90% of the visitors are probably over 60 years old.||As a summary: a good place to stay, but be sure that you will get a renovated room, not the...

Die Eigentümerin hat uns eingeschrien, die Kellnerin hat meinen Mann „Mädchen“ genannt, die Kollegin von der Rezeption hat zu unserer Buchung extra-Services beigefügt, ohne uns zu fragen.
Me, my husband and 2 our friends stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. From the way the confirmation email is written we all understood that a half-Board included in the price. When we were checking in, we mentioned to the receptionist about it. As we found out later upon check out, instead of telling us that we only have breakfast included, she just added dinner to our stay without even telling us its price. Of course it was an unpleasant surprise for us upon check out as we had to pay extra for dinners that were even not good (very fat, salty, and cocked from leave-behinds from the day before). We tried to discuss the situation with the receptionist in order to find a win-win for us and the hotel. At this moment the hotel owner came to us and started shouting that we’re stupid as we understood the email wrongly and that we are not allowed to “waste” the time of the receptionist. I should mention that we had a pregnant friend with us, however it didn’t stoped the lady from shouting at her. After 10 mins of this horror we gave up. But it was very unpleasant. Apparently it’s a norm at this hotel to behave like that with the guests, as the waitress requested my husband to finish a “home-made” desert when she was cleaning plates. My husband refused because the desert was very fat and not good. She looked at him and called him “a girl”. In summary, the hotel is way too expensive for its quality and the level of...
