Asia Cuisine LOTUS Mittersill — Restaurant in Mittersill

We had a great experience here last night. Easy to get a table even with an afternoon reservation, and two convenient parking spots right out front.

The owner, a Chinese individual born in India, was wonderful! Spoke great English and even a little Korean, thanks to their past experience in Korean restaurants.

For appetizers, the spicy "kimchi-like" dish was a great kick, and the large spring rolls were perfectly crispy. And the soup was particularly delicious! They have a good variety of drinks available by the glass.

Our main courses were delicious. The Mongolian beef with red bean sauce reminded us of Korean Jajangmyeon – not sweet and very tasty. The chicken curry was impressive with super fresh ingredients. They adjust saltiness for tourists, which was nice, but still a bit salty for our Asian palate (Austrians love their salt!).

The decor was lovely with beautiful lotus lamps and elegant mother-of-pearl art. Clean restrooms downstairs too.

If you need a break from Wiener schnitzel, head to Asia Cuisine Lotus in Mittersill. This little Chinese spot has no business being this good in the middle of Austria. The spring roll is more like a strudel—crispy, golden, and filled with an unexpectedly delicious mix that makes it a surprise standout. this place is the best! these guys definitely knows what they are doing. the food was excellent and very delicious, all 4 of us tried different dishes and tasted each other’s food. we all got full and they even brought dessert. this is definitely a hidden gem in mittersill and perfect if you want some delicious food or if you are tired of the typical ham and cheese with white bread that is served all over the alps. the people are very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. thank you for a...
