A Perfect Blend of Luxury, Comfort, and Hospitality

I had the pleasure of staying at the Bergland Hotel in February 2024, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The hotel strikes a perfect balance between modern elegance and traditional charm, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.

Impeccable Cleanliness & Attention to Detail

Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here. The rooms were always spotless, and what I particularly appreciated was the consistency of the housekeeping service. The cleaners arrived at around 10:30–11:00 AM each day, making it easy to plan my mornings without disruption. Their attention to detail was impeccable, ensuring that everything was refreshed to perfection.

Exceptional Dining & Attentive Service

The food was outstanding—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Every meal felt like a culinary experience, showcasing high-quality ingredients and elegant presentation. The dining service was excellent, and one German waiter in particular stood out for his attentiveness and warm approach—nothing was too much trouble for him.

Similarly, a member of staff in the gym, Galbor from Hungary, was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He was not only friendly but also receptive to feedback, which demonstrated the hotel’s commitment to excellent hospitality training.

Fantastic Facilities & Special Touches

The hotel boasts excellent facilities, and the outdoor pool is truly stunning. More than just a beautiful setting, it is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to unwind after a busy day.

Another highlight was the live music on Saturdays and wine tasting on Sundays, which added an extra touch of charm to the experience.

A Slightly Disappointing Check-In Experience

The only part of my stay that could have been better was the check-in process. I arrived on a Sunday before 11:00 AM, knowing that check-in was officially at 4:00 PM. While I fully understand that rooms need to be prepared, I checked with reception twice, and although they were polite and friendly, I was not sure whether they actually contacted housekeeping to request my room be cleaned sooner. It would have been a nice touch to prioritise cleaning my room given my early arrival. In the end, I received my room at 3:56 PM.

Minor Areas for Improvement

One small area that could be improved: • Access to Drinking Water – The hotel provides excellent-quality water, but guests have to go to the main areas to get it. A more convenient and sustainable solution, such as a reusable bottle that guests can take with them wherever they go, would be a thoughtful addition.

The Bergland Hotel delivers on every level—exceptional service, outstanding food, top-notch cleanliness, and fantastic facilities. The staff are well-trained, friendly, and genuinely eager to make your stay perfect.

Would I...

First class welcome from the reception team.||The reception area is very spacious and welcoming.||The furniture in reception however is not placed correctly.||The bar if fully stocked with everything you would want. ||The bar furniture, like reception is not placed correctly, , it can also be said for the furniture in the lounge next to the bar. Not placed correctly, you should not have to climb through seated groups to get to an empty table.||The rooms are finished to a fantastic standard. A mixture of traditional and modern. I did report two room faults on the evening of my arrival and they were not fixed prior to me leaving one week later.||First class welcome from the dining room staff. A really well appointed dining room. ||There were a few issues with the food. ||The selection at the buffet was fantastic however the quality of some of the dishes on the buffet were poor.||There seemed to be different menus for different guests and that was based on seeing food being delivered to tables that was never offered at my table. ||Now, the quality of food has been highlighted by previous guests and conveniently brushed over , they do not always get the food correct.||They are trying to serve portions that you would expect to find in fine dinning restaurants but the quality of food is far from fine dining.||I would ask the chef to taste the food before it leaves the dining room and that goes for the buffet, taste the food before it goes on the buffet. ||The quality of prepared food is either fantastic or inedible. During my stay, the plates from my table were either returned cleared of everything or returned full.||The spa, fantastic, clean warm and comfortable, actually, outstanding. The facilities are outstanding.||Look, this is a great spot in a great location with great people working in this hotel so if you stay then you will have a great time, sort the quality of the prepared food out then this will become a fantastic spot.||Just as an aside, as i said, some people were eating food our table wasn’t offered so maybe there is a tiered menu offering and if there is then this has to be made clear to...

Bergland Design and Wellness Hotel Sölden|We have just enjoyed a 7 night stay at this incredible hotel. What a gem it is!|I cannot fault the hotel and their attention to detail is exceptional. We travelled as a family of 4 (2 teenagers) and we had 2 of the deluxe comfort rooms, side by side. The rooms were roomy and so very comfortable, including rocking chairs and terraces. The bathroom included a shower and seperate bathtub. The room also included bathrobes and slippers to use in the spa (more on that later).|We made excellent use of the sport shop in the basement and hired our ski equipment for our week long stay. Each morning we would pop down and pick up the gear and then head to the slopes which were only minutes away.|Our room package included the Half-Board option where breakfast and dinner are included. We had the same table every time, which was set especially for us each day. There was never any rush for us to vacate the table and as a result we enjoyed leisurely meals, enjoying the delicious Tyrolean produce each day. The service in the restaurant was impeccable and it is clear that the staff are very special and are cared for by the management. Each of them truly seems to enjoy being part of the Bergland family. A special mention must go to Nikolette, our waitress for most meals. She was wonderful.|The sky spa in the hotel is amazing, and after skiing most mornings we enjoyed the sauna and spa time in the afternoons. It includes a Finnish sauna, a steam room and a bio-Sauna. My husband and I also enjoyed a special spa package of a body scrub, mask and massage. It was divine!!!|We were especially blessed to spend new years at the hotel and had a wonderful New Year’s Eve gala dinner with live music and a real party atmosphere. A lovely evening hosted by Siggi the hotel owner also made us feel like a part of the Bergland family. |I honestly could not fault the hotel for anything and am looking forward to one day visiting again.|The town of Sölden is just lovely and the snow and skiing conditions are exceptional.
