We had a large comfortable room with beautiful views across St Christophe from the front. Bathroom was dated but large and functional. Overall we felt the room was good value.|| We ventured to the steam room in the spa area a few times which was nice. ||The ski room has lockable ski lockers (opened with your key card), though can be a cramped area when everyone is trying to put boots on. It is ski out and sort of ski in, though you have to push from the last run on a flat area and then walk the last part - but that is splitting hairs. Beware though that if you pick up from the ski school then you either have to head back up the chairlift to get back to ski to the hotel or face a good 10 or 15 minute uphill walk back to the hotel. ||Wi-fi is quite variable, with very slow or no internet in the evening, though no doubt the number of tweens and teens meant a lot of bandwidth was in demand during the NYE week. ||The restaurant is spacious yet cosy and a lot of aesthetic effort has gone in to how it is presented. Food quality was consistently very high. ||The downside to the restaurant was the sometimes very lengthy wait times at dinner. As you place your orders at breakfast for the coming evening, this should not really be the case. For families with younger children it can mean keeping them entertained at the table when they really need to be in bed ready for skiing the next day. We often ended up with our son in bed much later than we wanted, with a knock on effect the next day. ||A low point for us was the New Year’s Eve gala dinner. This went on far too long with huge gaps between the courses. The table next to us gave up half way through the dinner. After an hour, we had to ask for our son’s main course - he’s only 10 and had been skiing all day and really needed to get some food into him. Initially I was told it would still be a long time because of the number of covers they had in. I had to insist he got his main course, and they were pretty grumpy about me doing that. When the dish came I wondered if it was deliberate that it was very inadequate in size - more suited to a five year old. Indeed we saw those children at other tables who waited out the two hours for their main courses got a superior meal than he did. I ended up giving him my steak when that eventually arrived, about three hours after we had originally st down, and not having a main course myself. ||The restaurant and head waiter did however make this up to my son on the two subsequent nights. He received decent portion perfectly cooked meals, including a large superb fillet steak on one evening, and the service on our last night was prompt. So perhaps the slow service was a Christmas period issue. ||We were feeling pretty positive overall, putting the NYE experience aside, until our final bill experience. I don’t want to overplay this, but it was upsetting at the time. A couple of days into our stay we had been given to sign one breakfast a small bar bill for the previous evening (our second night). We hadn’t yet had any drinks in the bar on our first or second night and we knew the order was not ours. I raised this at the time and told it would be sorted out, and had thought nothing more about it. This small bar bill was however, at the end of our stay, itemised on our final bill as a bar charge for our second night. It was only 9 euros, out of a Eur 5k+ total, but I didn’t see why I should just pay up so I politely raised with reception. The unsigned bar bill was fished out and presented to me by the receptionist. I had already explained to her what had happened a few days previously so I was not sure why she was ignoring that and I politely explained it again. I was asked to wait while the receptionist went off to speak to the bar manager. She returned to tell me that the bar manager had confirmed that the drinks must be charged to us as he now remembered that it was us who had ordered them four days ago and thus I was wrong to claim we had not. I was astonished. This was ridiculous - I don’t come on holiday to spend time arguing about 9 euros and the implication was that I was dishonestly challenging it. The lady was now looking very serious as if I was the problem. They must really want that cash I thought as it was clear she was not giving way on this 9 Euro amount. In the end she said she would speak to the hotel manager (who was not yet around) “to see what could be done”. Later we were told by her, in a matter of fact way, that the hotel manager had agreed the deduction. Whether the manager knew how the front desk had handled it I don’t know. In a final small twist, when I paid the final bill, the deduction had not been put through correctly - so I had to query that error and again found myself spending time over this small charge. Not a great way...

Cheating customer, terrible hotel management and overpriced offer make my worst hotel experience in South Tirol. I strongly recommend that you need to think twice before you decide to stay at this hotel which cheats its customer!!!|I booked a Junior Suite for 3 days stay over the new year eve 2022. When I arrived at the hotel, I was shocked. Instead of a Suite I got a small hotel room, the promised double sofa bed is replaced by a tiny sofa since the room is too small, the worst part is the bathroom, which is barely qualified for one star hotel. I went to the reception and asked for clarification. The lady from the reception checked the system and firmly replied to me no mistake is made. The room I got is exactly what I booked. I had to show her the confirmation email I received from the hotel. At the end, she has no choice but told me all rooms are sold out and she will talk to the hotel owner and give me a feedback. At the time when I checked out, nobody from the hotel has ever contacted me. I raised the question again, this time the hotel owner finally admits it’s probably a mistake and offered 110 EUR for a total cost of 2200 EUR for 3 days stay as compensation, probably in exchange that I will not put this story on the internet. As next step, I will file a complaint to the responsible authority in South Tirol, hopefully no more people become a victim like me. The bottom line is that cheating customer is always a very bad way to...
