Gasthof Valluga St. Christoph — Restaurant in Sankt Anton am Arlberg

The proprietors of Gasthof Valluga should publish a textbook on how to run a hotel. This place is fantastic. The rooms are actually more like suites -- with a generous entry area that has ample storage, and space to change out of ski gear etc, a sitting room with table and banquettes, TV, etc, roomy bedroom, and a balcony. Spacious bathroom, looked like brand-new fitout, plus separate toilet. Everything immaculate. ||The staff are very friendly and helpful, gave us knowledgeable advice on ski-runs etc. The food is five-star--delicious, imaginative although based on Austrian tradition. Sauna was appreciated after days on the slopes. St Christoph is a quiet hamlet, which is what we wanted. Easy to get to other ski villages whether by bus or by skiing. Our package included ski-passes and half-board. Excellent value. Also a good arrangement whereby skis and boots can be stored overnight near the chairlift - makes the short walk back to Gasthof Valluga even easier.||Could not recommend...

We were recommended Valluga by friends who said we would like it. And they were right. We loved it!! Service was great, warm and always there. The food is absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere is just very relaxing and gentle. You feel so welcome every day you come down for breakfast or dinner. Great Place to stay with children and you could deviate from the set menu when the kids wanted pasta instead. Pancakes in the morning was a special treat and you can get eggs any way you like them. And Everything was done and delivered with a smile. We were positively suprised with the Austrian wine list - more from not knowing Austria provided such good wines - they were delicious.||||The hotel bar is small, but such a nice place for a drink, a chat with the staff and just relaxing after a day of skiing.||||Rooms were very Clean. And very genuinely Austrian. We had a family room so the kids had their own corner/room. ||||We can highly recommend this hotel and we shall for sure return...
