Hotel Lärchenhof Natur — Hotel in Telfs

We had a good experience with the hotel and staff, with a few quirks here and there. We took the small apartment room, with a small kitchen, and stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is located on a small hill, which is about a 7 minute hike up from the main road. It wasn't a problem for us, though. From the hotel, a hike trail can be taken to Seefeld (4 km walk) and to other places in the area.||||The good:||* communication with Kathrin via email before our vacation was great - she answered our emails and questions about how to arrive, methods of payment, and breakfast arrangements.||* They picked us up at the train station in Seefeld, and were willing to drive us there on our last day.||* They provided information about the bus, maps, and a tourism booklet in english for us when we arrived.||* Kitchen had a pot a pan, and utensils enough to cook some omelettes, cut up a salad and make tea.||||The quirky:||* The room has a "fireplace" but it doesn't have a place in it for wood. It is merely a fireplace lookalike, that has a small dial at its side which you can turn on. Then, it slowly heats from some kind of a main heat source.||* Communication with the staff in English was bumpy.||* We were told not to turn it on too much because it "wasn't good". At the first day we turned it on and left it open for the day so it would be warm in our room when we came back. When we got back to the room, it was off, and the button dial was gone! we thought it a bit passive aggressive on the part of the staff to do that instead of talking to us. ||* The internet is off by default. Except for certain hours in the evening, you would need to call reception and ask them to turn the wifi on. The reason for this is to reduce electromagnetic waves, we were told. We found it weird.. On the bright side, when the wifi was on, we had pretty good reception in our room, even though the wifi supposedly only works in the lobby.||||All in all we had a lovely experience, and the people running the hotel are lovely, good people. We have visited the Laerchenhof over many years and only 2 words can properly explain the results following each visit. HEAVEN ON EARTH! The hosts Traudi, Gunther and Katrin are not available for adoption as we adopted them into our family many years ago. This is the only hotel in the world that I feel comfortable walking around in my bare feet or with stockings. Cleanliness is perfect as the result of thorough cleaning daily. In the morning the breakfast buffet is marvelous and usually contains one of Traudis home made cakes all enjoyed with a mountain view and the tender care of Gunther making sure everything is going well. Отдыхали с мужем в январе, на новогодние праздники. Т.к. мы начали планировать наше путешествие всего за 1,5 месяца до Нового года, выбор отелей в самом Зееефельде был не велик, решили рискнуть и взять отель в близлежащем поселении, тем более по цене нам он очень даже подходил. И не зря! Проблем с транспортом не было - от ж/д станции вы можете показать бронь отеля водителю и вас довезут бесплатно, потом приобретаете (прямо в отеле) кату SeefeldCard за фиксированную сумму и катаетесь на всех автобусах региона бесплатно, предъявляя эту карту. К тому же, прогулка от отеля до Зеефельда 5 к/м - вы обязательно должны это сделать хоть раз! Очень живописная тропа, одно удовольствие. Рядом с отелем несколько маршрутов для беговых лыж, но они черные и красные.||Отель расположен в тихом месте, из окон открываются потрясающие виды на горы. Если вы не на машине, то учитывайте, что отель находится на довольно крутой горке, кому-то может быть сложно каждый раз спускаться и подниматься.. Зато эта горка дарит потрясающие живописные виды :)||Завтраки хорошие, все свежее и вкусное, мы всегда были сыты и довольны. В номерах исключительно чисто. В отеле есть парковка, есть комната для хранения лыж и ботинок. Семья, управляющая отелем - вежливые, отзывчивые люди, было приятно общаться, они создавали атмосферу домашнего уюта. Каких-то определенных минусов назвать не могу, все понравилось, единственное, был странный момент - мы бронировали номер на сайте booking.com, с бесплатной отменой бронирования, но за месяц до заселения нам пришло письмо от руководства отеля с просьбой оплатить счет в размере нескольких ночей проживания в отеле, как предоплату и гарантию, что мы приедем. Нам такой платеж был не выгоден, так как мы заплатили бы комиссию за перевод. Пережить можно, но все же, почему мы должны переплачивать? Написали отелю ответ, объяснили, они с пониманием отнеслись к этому, никакую предоплату в итоге мы не платили. Но сам этот факт возникающей доп. проблемы как-то напряг. Да, и еще, в отеле можно было заплатить...
