Camped here while seeing Vienna due to ease of location near metro. Pitches were on the small size, hard to find shaded ones. I found the facilities just okay and not plentiful enough. Only 3 sinks to wash dishes and 5 showers for women. Playground only has a slide, swings are broken, zip line broken.
My big beef was the customer service. My husband got me a cup of coffee in the morning and as I was drinking it, part of the bottom fell out and started gushing coffee. I jumped and my quick reflexes saved me from getting burned and I only got coffee splattered on my shirt but I lost my whole cup of piping hot coffee. Well I took my cup back to the cafe and showed him my cup and explained what happened and he didn’t do anything. I am not expecting American customer service but I paid €3.80 for a coffee that I never got to drink. I asked if I could please have a new cup of coffee and he said, no, I gave you a normal cup of coffee. I said yes in a poor quality cup. He said no, and just kept repeating I have you a normal cup of coffee and if I do that then I would have to give every other customer another cup of coffee. (Here I am thinking or just buy better quality cups). I told him I almost got burned. I jumped and that’s he only reason why I didn’t get burned and my small kids could have gotten seriously burned. I’m not making a big deal about it but I just want to drink my morning cup of coffee. He still said no. I just couldn’t believe that he actually expected me to buy another damn cup of coffee after what happened to my first. So I just left. So my advice is don’t expect any kind of customer service and if you order coffee make sure to ask for two cups and keep it away...
Read moreThis was an awful experience and we have been camping for years in different locations. We stayed there 2 nights in our tent. The place is big with two sanitary places, both dirty. They had soap and everything but they probably don't have someone to clean it regularly and people made a real mess there. Besides this, the camp is not for resting, it's not a calming experience, at least not when we stayed there. There were a lot of German and Austriac young people who were partying all night long. So, loud music, drinking, loud talking, laughing, running and all the things a party includes. We had a whole day of driving the next day and after a sleepless night, this wasn't a pleasure. Somebody fron another tent with his family tried to tell the young people to keep it down after 12 o'clock but of course nothing happened. Nobody from the camp was there to make them stop. And we were surprised after seing during our Austria tour how they respect every rule and if somebody steps the line there will be for sure a citizen who will come and make you respect the rules. The camp had the rule for quiet time but these young people were not there to respect it. We chose this camp because it was close to Viena by u bahn (which we wanted to visit) and we thought is was next to he Danube river but it was just close to the river. The camp is big and it is mostly for caravans. The tent part is in the far back and is a free zone, it's not separated for each tent as in...
Read moreVienna is such a beautiful city, every corner in this city you look and discover the splendeur historical, and cultural . The camping is ideally placed, metro near at hand couldn't be better. In this camping there are the concords of caravans. Regarding the tents, of course the month of August camping sites are really busy , but there is a limit , I must say we were warned at the reception of the tents already in place . At 9pm a large tent was placed less than 50 cm in front of our entry of our tent. As you know, one can hear everything at such nearness, this didn't seem to bother the people , such inconsideration we found out was a common occurrence. After 100 km of biking on the Euro 6 we were a little tired.!! I really think in this kind of camping there should be places planned as for the caravans for a certain size of tents. | We stayed three nights which were planned and another night because of a problem of transport. The showers were not cleaned during two days as I found the same dirty papers and hair in the same shower on the second evening !! | The noise was awful ,trains, airplanes cars on full volume, why did we stay? Because my husband can sleep anywhere!!| I think it is a pity to have such splendeur in Vienne and that the town have not invested in their camping areas ,so many people pass by this camping because of the Euro 6 such a pity !!| I would not recommend...
