Hotel Königgut — Hotel in Wals-Siezenheim

Very friendly family staff helped with gluten, milk and egg free food choices for our 6 day stay in this pleasant Austrian countryside hotel. Mostly the food is sourced from their own farm and hand made into fruit conserves and vegetables pickled or preserved in olive oil as well as a large variety of salads for evening meals and a generous breakfast buffet spread. They made special purchases of gluten milk and egg free rolls for my breakfast and soy milk for my coffee..most outstanding. My partner off course enjoyed the many Austrian meals in the provided menu. |Country and town walks lead us to the most interesting local history museum. Well presented and well worth a visit especially if they take up my tip of an English info sheet. Displays from Roman ruins to world wars to bicycles and farming life through the ages kept us interested for hours. Our walks through Wals finally lead us to the locally made small goods shop. We were helped to make choices from so many allergen free sausage and salami choices to add to the picnic lunch fruit and vegetables from the supermarket opposite. Add this to the allergen free bakery sliced whole seed bread made fresh each morning from just opposite the hotel..I thought I was in heaven!!! Add that to a cheap return bus fare visit to the romantic Salzburg walking the streets in a self guided tour.. we had an a very memorable experience of western Austria...

One of this hotel’s best features is its location. It is a ten-minute drive from Salzburg Airport, and another ten minutes will take you right into the heart of Salzburg. The hotel staff are friendly. We arrived while they were in the process of clearing away breakfast, but at this was near noon, and we had obviously been travelling we were invited to come and have in improvised lunch at no charge. Now that is hospitality! We had booked a junior suite and that was certainly worth it! The room was spacious and came with excellent beds and a place to sit in comfort with a couch, table and two chairs. Also there was an place where you might write, or work (if you’re on a business trip). Last but not least there was a spacious terrace outside. Everything spotlessly clean!. Wir sind für 4 Tage im Hotel Königgut zu Gast gewesen, um auch mal die kulturelle Seite von Salzburg zu erkunden. Wir haben keine Minute bereut. Auf jeden Fall ist dieses Hotel zu empfehlen. In dem familiengeführten Hotel bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben die Familie Reiter und das gesamte Team als äußerst hilfsbereit, freundlich, herzlich und auch als kompetente Reisetipp-Geber kennengelernt. Jederzeit konnte man auch mal ein paar private Worte mit der Familie Reiter wechseln! Familie wird hier auch GROSS geschrieben, denn am Sonntag gibt es kein Abendessen im Hotel bzw. auch keine Sauna - Familientag

Hotel Das Hotel liegt ca 6 km außerhalb vom Stadtkern Salzburgs in Wals. Sowohl die Anbindung per Bus, als auch eine Fahrt mit dem Fahrrad ist unproblematisch. Der Flughafen Salzburg ist lediglich 2-3 km entfernt.

Zimmer und Ausstattung Wir hatten ein Standardzimmer, welches mit einem sehr bequemen Bett, einem sehr ansprechenden Badezimmer und mit Balkon ausgestattet war. Im Hotel gab es kostenloses WLAN. Der Wellnessbereich war sehr gut und auch recht neu. Es gab mehrere verschiedene Saunen, ein Dampfbad sowie eine Infrarotkabine. Auch ein großzügiger Ruhebereich ist da. Außerdem kann man sich im Fitnessraum an diversen Geräten ausreichend körperlich betätigen. Fahrräder hätte man auch ausleihen können, brauchten wir aber nicht, da wir unsere dabei hatten.

Essen Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keinerlei Wünsche offen. Am Buffet kann man sich von einem Koch/Köchin ein Ei in jeglicher Form zubereiten lassen, wobei man die Zutaten selbst wählen kann. Wurst und Käse in zig Variationen, Marmeladen aller Art, Brot u. Brötchen, frischen Obstsalat, Säfte etc.... -- ich vermisse es schon 😞

Wir hatten auch Halbpension dazugebucht - und wir wurden in keinster Weise enttäuscht. Es gab ein 6-Gänge Menü, wobei man sowohl die Suppe und das Hauptgericht wählen konnte auf einer eigenen Karte. Sonderwünsche (Lebensmittelunverträglichkeiten, Allergien etc) werden selbstverständlich erfüllt. Hier hat uns das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis voll überzeugt. Das ist eine absolute Empfehlung. Die Getränke haben einen angemessenen Preis.
