Mercure Baku City Hotel — Hotel in Baku City

The hotel is ok for a business stay. My room was fairly spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. Staff were all helpful, professional and friendly.|The rooftop bar and restaurant was nice - decent food, drinks and a good view, with good service and atmosphere.|The lobby bar was a bit disappointing - as it sounds just a small bar in the lobby area near reception, with no real dedicated area or seating, other than the chairs and sofas around the lobby. It could do with being made more distinctly separated to give it more of a bar type vibe. However, prices in both the rooftop and lobby were more than reasonable. Although Azerbaijan is not an expensive country.|There is a small gym and miniature pool in the hotel.||Located around 30 minutes walk from the city centre and old town, but the hotel reception will call a taxi for you and they are cheap. The city is quite small, so it's quick and easy to get around, particularly in a taxi. |The old town is worth exploring - nice picturesque and historic looking streets and buildings with some good restaurants and bars.|Also had a night out in the city centre and again, a good choice of nice restaurants and bars, none of which are expensive by Western European standards, but the food and drinks were all really good.||There are a couple of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants nearby to the hotel and within walking distance, so there are other choices to eat and drink if you don't want to venture too far outside the hotel.||As alluded to, good for a business stay and a reasonable and well priced option for a...

It was easy to reach by Taxi from airport , As a diamond member i received great very good welcome with an upgrade which set the tone for a great stay . Room had a great Caspian sea view from a distance. They explained me all the privileges i could enjoy for free as a Diamond and what was to be paid in clear words. Over the next 4 days i was treated well . I should mention that all the staff i interacted with including front office, housekeeping and also Fuego restarant at Breakfast took good care of not only me but i observed that they carried the same great attitude interacting with everyone ... Still I must mention Vasif and Yusuf ( not his offcial name which is different ) at the Breakfast were very friendly with great service attitude if i have to name a couple of them. I did not get to try the restaurant and also spa services though during the short stay. Check out was smooth as well .....over all i checke in as a happy customer and checked out with great satisfaction. If i ever go back to Baku again be it on work visit like this one or for pleasure this is certainly going to be my choice to stay again. Overall I am fairly impressed and satisfied. Thank you team at Mercure Baku .....You actually deserve 11 out of 10 but i gave 10/10 .... just because i have to request to attend the hygiene faucet at the start of my stay which was the only oversight during the whole stay of 4 nights ......
