Elite Crystal Hotel — Hotel in Bahrain Island

Stayed for over a month here. (for price can find better in Bahrain - just walk over to the K hotel one block south) This hotel shouldn't be ranked more than three stars. Can only speak from experience on 5th floor but comming out of elevator it often smelled like feces or just dirty stale cigarette air. Expect rooms to smell like this when you first enter also (nonsmoking room of course) This hotel is a nice pit stop, but not worth the hastle to pretend it's better than it is.

I usually only remove do not disturb sign on bi- or tri- weekly basis to get house cleaning and hopefully new towels and toilet paper. Worst experience was when I left for an hour to work out came back to find toilet paper missing from an hour earlier after "Room Cleaned." Called reception to ask for had them tell me "I was mistaken it must be there." Then when going to the front desk to report smell, received lecture from duty manager Francis about how I was wrong...he walked away mid conversation twice! (no front desk was not busy) and had me wait through explanation of how he scheduled cleaning staff before finally getting me weekly ration of toilet paper. Oh and they never addresses the poopy smell. Pretty unprofessional and unfriendly management material...

Room: furnished pretty good but aren't any real silverware or plates unless you ask. Room Service is good and beds are wicked comfortable. TV channel options are limited though. House cleaning: is o.k. but even after tips dont expect them to vacuum daily or leave new soap/shampoo tissue boxes or toilet paper etc, but they do leave plenty of bottled water. There are small cockroaches that occasionally crawl out of shower drain... Can trust them not to steal anything (there are cameras everywhere) but for some reason it seems like the hotel is rationing toilet paper, soap, shampoo etc Internet: not high speed requires new password all the time and very slow to unusable at times Laundry: guest can use for free but have to walk through parking garage to get to it... yeah seriously Parking Garage: spaces are so tight that if you open your door halfway it will definitely scratch something, expect to be terrified of accidentally hitting hotel staff who for some reason have to transit around parking garage constantly, also round those corners very slowly With headlights on Pool: I used daily, its decent size and has great lounge areas but tiling is breaking off - there is great steam room Gym: other than missing 15kg free weights it is excellent and they even have personal trainer and locker if you want Club & Bar: nice to go to but noise is an issue at nights when you want to sleep vice club (no sleep at night) Construction: expect to hear it all day long from inside the building! !! the whole area above restaurant and next to pool being worked on (so no sleep on daytime either) Staff: is great, friendly for the most part, management staff is pretty bad though. Restaurant: Breakfast is edible but nothing spectacular. Dinner buffet is pretty awesome! Dessert are like endless happiness. Location: excellent within walking distance of...

I really enjoyed my stay at your place.. All the staff is so friendly and Jovial.. especially the front desk staff.. room service and bell boys are also equally good but dint interact with them much.. But pretty professional and well behaved staff.. What i dint like was the swimming pool area.. Water needs to be temperature controlled and an open Jacuzzi could have added more to the pool experience.. Kids pool wasn't available and hence i spent 40 BD extra outside the hotel just to get that swimming pool experience, which i would have happily spent in your hotel had been i got a good swimming pool.. Life guard on duty was pretty amazing guy too.. very helpful and soft spoken.. I am surprised how come all your staff members are so well behaved, polite and professional.. I did not come across even 1 staff who is not helpful or i can be critical about.. that's pretty commendable.. Laundry is very expensive.. literally so much expensive that i can buy a washing machine myself in the same money if i happen to stay for a month.. Alcohol is expensive, so i preferred to buy it from outside and drink in my room at my pleasure.. for food also same thing.. Anyways the New year party bash i believe would have been great as i saw the preparations and no doubt it would been pretty amazing.. as i was with small kid, i preferred not to be part of it for i couldn't get drunk.. And entry prices for the event were quite reasonable taking into considerations all the things provided within package...!! 1 star less due to swimming pool only.. otherwise perfect..!! Vinod and Santish in the gym were the absolute best. They both were very accommodating and helped to create a work out plan and then worked with me day in and day out to stick to the plan. I lost 16 lbs because of their help. Both were very knowledgeable and friendly. I would look forward to heading to the gym because I knew they would be there.

Parbez in the restaurant provided excellent service everytime. He knew exactly what I wanted and would most times have it waiting at my favorite table after i went through the buffet line. Jonald and Jassim were just as helpful. Van was great too. It was obvious they work very hard and always provided excellent service. My only question to management is why Van has been here almost a year and still does not have a nametag? He is a valued member of your team and deserves to be treated as such. Get him a nametag. I will pay for it myself if I have to.

Housekeeping services were great. I left a note for a specific request of towels and sure enough Reddy made sure I got exactly what I wanted.

The front desk staff was great too. Francis was always helpful and friendly and helped me with all of my receipts.

Security and concierge services were extremely responsive when i had a noise complaint or smoke smell complaint from another guest. They even forced another giest to move when he wouldnt turn down his music and answered the door smoking a cigarette on a non smoking floor.

This was a wonderful experience. I did not have a bad experience with any staff memeber and I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. I hope to stay here again...
