Frsan Plaza — Hotel in Bahrain Island

Read some mixed reviews of the hotel after l'd booked, can understand them better having stayed there.||||Fairly close to Airport so 7 dinar for taxi, outside of hotel is kept clean and tidy. There is a small pool, BUT the pictures on websites are very old and the pool is not as nice as it looks.||||We booked in on Wednesday, had to ask for towels and loo roll at reception, no one cleaned or checked the room until Sunday. On the Monday we received some complimentary soap and shampoo, shame we were checking out Tuesday.||||Overall the hotel is clean and tidy, Wi Fi in reception and in some rooms, ask and they will let you try a different room to see which has best reception.||||Large fridge / freezer in room, air con worked but was old and a bit too noisy on a night, but also had ceiling fan, TV ok had many many channels, some UK and US programs, be prepared to look through a lot of channels to find them.||||Staff on reception desk very helpful and spoke good english.||||Price wise it was reasonable and decent value for money. ||||Good location, out of hotel turn right for petrol station with selection of shops and a bit further to Jaffair Mall, 4 floors of shopping and top floor of food court and games area. My husband booked for a one bedroom suite and we got upgraded to two! The apartment (room 193) is so spacious and both of the toilets have tubs. The room is clean. A complete set of plates and saucers is provided with some kitchen utensils. Cooking your own meal is possible for the kitchenette is equipped. Just make sure to scald the spoons and forks for safety because some are a bit old and rusty. ||||The only thing I didn't like is the smell of the room.
