Hotel Regent Park — Hotel in Chattogram Division

Best in the worst category. Room rent is low enough, also service and behaviour is very poor. The rooms are not neat and clean. But okay for a one night stay.

Special case- they had a room with broken AC. Since I was single, they wanted to give me that room (cost 1000 BDT). But after complaining for an hour, they changed the room with a twin bed (original price-1700 BDT) with the same rent (1000). So I would say service is not great but if you can argue and negotiate, you can have a good deal.

And yes, they have a restaurant with decent food. The foods were little overpriced considering the quality but still not bad. The lift facility is also a benediction.

Summary- good stay for a quick single night, especially if you are not on holiday but...

The room was spacious with sunlight during the day. The traffic noise was not annoying. The only thing was we couldn't figure out how the hot water works. They said to wait 5 min, a few times it worked, but most of the time not. We had a Booking confirmation but the guy in the reception asked us to pay more. When we rejected it, he asked us to cancel the Booking to give us the room at the same price. We said we were tired and just needed the room... He laughed at us and said it's your problem!!! The other staff were polite and respectful. They just need some hospitality training. E.g. Even though we put the "no disturb" sign on the door, they used to knock on the door and ask if we wanted to...

I stayed in this hotel for three nights. It is also the first hotel that I stayed in for my Bangladeshi visit. I was expecting some cleanliness and pest issues. It turned to be clean and no pests. The hotel is very near the Chittagong Train Station. Though it was a bit hard to find the entrance, the locals know where it is. Everyone was pointing the way for me. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is noisy all the day long because of the traffic on Jubilee Road. However, if you put on earplugs, you would block out most of the noise.
