Staying one night at the Grand Palace Hotel and Resort, Rangpur was a pleasant surprise during an hectic 5-day North Bengal trip. I've never been to this hotel and as such was a little skeptical. The entry on a busy street was not so impressive. However, ever since we entered into the hotel I started loving arrangements, cleanliness, staff etiquette, and overall service. It was during Ramadan month and so our priority was to check availability of food for all touring members irrespective of religion. A young man (we came to know later that he is the operations manager) assured us of all the services that we need during the stay. Room was cosy and comfortable for staying. I always check the pillow first as still in some places of Bangladesh hotels provide uncomfortable hard pillows. So, I liked a set of soft pillows on the bed. Rooms have a clean closet and a safe inside that, a full size mirror, two comfortable chairs, and of course a working table with tea, coffee, electric cattle and trea set on one corner of the table. Inside the shower room I was surprised to see a shaving glass though a hair dryer is sometimes common. Dental kit set tray also has a shaving and sewing kit apart from lotion. These are somehow not common in most of the hotels of this standard. So, I liked to see those there.||||We went down at around 7:30 PM for dinner and that young gentleman surprised us by facilitating our choice of items. A group of six had a variety of orders, rice to nun, vegetables to dals, fish to chicken and everything they served in a record time. The food was absolutely delicious and probably I'll go back to that place for a proper dinner. One of our team members was craving milk tea throughout the past three days and her special requirement was cow milk not powder milk and I was thinking of some sweet as dessert. The young man was like a magician and to our surprise served hot milk tea and delicious 'gulab jamun.' It was totally a pleasant experience for a team of six members with four expatriates. Breakfast buffet was equally good with a choice of bread and butter, rice and various curries, and of course 'special milk tea' and coffee. Overall it was a delightful experience in...

The location of the Grand Palace Hotel is superb. Situated in the heart of Rangpur, it offers easy access to major attractions, shopping centers, and restaurants. Whether you're a leisure traveler or on a business trip, you'll appreciate the convenience of this prime location.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who provided exceptional service throughout my stay. They were attentive, professional, and always ready to assist with any request. Their attention to detail truly made me feel valued as a guest.
The rooms at the Grand Palace Hotel are spacious, well-appointed, and meticulously maintained. My accommodation was tastefully decorated and equipped with modern amenities. The comfortable bed ensured a restful sleep, and the cleanliness of the room was impeccable.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's dining options. The on-site restaurant served a delectable array of local and international cuisines. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, offering a wide selection of dishes to cater to different tastes.
The hotel's facilities were equally impressive. The fitness center was well-equipped and provided a great opportunity to maintain my workout routine. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, allowing me to stay connected throughout my stay.

Read moreAn unexpectedly well provided for hotel in Rangpur. It is very new, having opened in March 2018, but the staff are well trained and rooms well done up and cosy. The hotel is luxuriously furnished although not very sophisticatedly. The room size is medium but the bathroom was fairly big, white and grey coloured, with a bathtub and good toiletries. The view is nothing to mention - my room overlooked the backyard of some low end residential property. There is tea coffee making provision in the room and an empty fridge. The dressing table is incorrectly placed as it gets no light. The first floor restaurant - Dhorla - seemed quite popular with the locals although rather high priced. But the food was excellent for both lunch and dinner. Breakfast was disappointing - the bread had a peculiar smell and the omelette was average. My colleague had parathas which were very good. Maybe you should stick to local food. Wi-Fi is excellent, as all over Bangladesh. However, the hotel is overpriced - even with 40% off season discount the room rental for a deluxe double bed was nearly USD 114 (with taxes). Too much for a small town hotel. The hotel will arrange for a pick up from and drop at Saidpur Airport (about 1 hour away) against payment if you inform them in advance. The hotel staff are very helpful...
