Being mostly a solo female traveller, Sylhet/ Sreemongol is my most favourite weekend getaway destination in Bangladesh since early 2000s, and Himchori Resort has been the most delightful and budget friendly hotel / guest house so far. I wasn't expecting much when I booked it last minute and requested for early check in, not only the staff was well aware of my arrival and to my surprise, the room was well ready by the time I finished sipping the refreshing welcome tea! And what I experienced throughout the rest of my stay was just the perfect example of what 5stars would call "the bespoke service". The stay came with a very tasty and fulfilling complementary breakfast. Like me, You can also choose to eat the local style meals with all fresh seasonal produce cooked and served at the property diner itself, if you are planning for a leisure trip to relax and breathe fresh air and unwind yourself in the luscious wilderness around. The 2nd and last day I customize a trip to explore the nearby Lawachara national park, Nurjahan tea garden, Zareen tea garden, Madhobpur lake using both private / shared local transportation (Cng or motor driven rikshaws) which was easily accessible and very reasonble and safe. The modest hospitality and attentiveness of the manager and staff is remarkable and praiseworthy. *This is a boutique resort with approx 10 rooms and accommodation capacity of 15-25 people . Room Rent is BDT 1500-3500 ,which is changeable depending on room type and season .

*It is located within 1 KM of Grand Sultan Resort , just opposite road of the Grand Sultan Resort and Main Road. However the road connectivity is good . The resort and surrounding area is safe and secure .

The place of naturally attractive . There is Rubber garden within 5 minute walking distance over a hill , Tea garden within 15 minute walking distance.

if you do not have personal vehicle , you can easily move as the local transport CNG and Auto are frequent in the area , as well as you can get mobile number of CNG driver from the Manager of the Resort .

the resort have all the modern facilities. Food is available on pre- order basis . However I would suggest to get information about food price and menu before order , since in city you would have more wide option with less price .But Considering the up down cost to city+Food cost I think the price is not that much high .Food is fresh and tasty .

The resort is on the road to the right of the Grand Sultan of Srimangal. RADHANAGAR ROAD. A very nice resort. The place is quite and homely. The owner of the resort was so polite and generous. He tried his level best to serve us entirely from his heart. We booked AC deluxe couple bed room for 1 night to stay. And we got complimentary breakfast with this package additionally they provided us with toilet accessories. The room condition was good and I will recommend to go and have a visit their just to have an amazing hospitality. The food there was amazing. Also they have unlimited tea offerings to their guests. They had al kind of rooms according to the need of clients or traveler’s. AC, non AC, eco friendly. It also have a swing and hammock on its rooftop area. We had our breakfast on the rooftop. To be frank, friends der niye adda der khub Valo akta jaiga. Highly recommended. Again ones taste is different from another. But from my side it’s a 10 on 10 resort.
