In comparison with other hotels in this price range, this one has a lot to offer. I did, however, has several significant issues during my stay. |Let’s start with the positive:|- Clean|- Very nice amenities |- Modern room|- Comfy bed|- Good breakfast|- Close to several restaurants ||On the negatives:|- Check-in took 15 minutes to get to the counter... and I was the only one waiting. There should be a better way. ||- WiFi was basically unusable. This is a huge thing for business travelers!!!! From setup (which was broken) to the actual speed (cut off about 75% of the 6 day stay, or incredibly slow), it was completely unacceptable. ||- No air conditioning the entire stay (again, 6 days). Again, unacceptable, but worse, it wasn’t mentioned, nor any notification by management if it would ever be on at all. ||- This may sound odd, but the smell of the body soap/shampoo in the shower was really bad. At first, I thought a prior guest was pranking me. So I emptied it entirely allowing the housekeeper to refill with fresh stock. Nope. It had the scent of vomit. Not exaggerating. Thankfully I travel for work a lot and bring my own just in case. This was the first time I’ve had to use it. ||- Construction was occurring below my room between 11pm-3:30am. Like drilling the entire time. At 3:30am I ended up going down and moving to another room. Thankfully there was one. Management should just have known they would be making a huge amount of noise, and advised they would be doing this at 11pm. I would have been fine moving and would have considered it polite. At 3:30 when half asleep and hoping to get to work in the morning, dragging all the luggage and stuff, not so much. There are also a number of hotel chains that would consider this a breach of the quiet guarantee and just credit the night. ||I really do think the hotel is nice. Because of the location, I will probably end up staying there, or nearby. But I really do hope they take some of these experiences and addresses them. American business travelers need, at minimum, working internet. The main issue, in particular, is not proactively alerting the customer about issues affecting their stay, fixing them (if possible), and showing some effort to ameliorate or be apologetic about the conditions. I hope this...
Read moreDisappointing Experience with Serious Concerns I stayed at Willing hotel with modest expectations, but unfortunately, several key issues made the stay uncomfortable. On the positive side, the front desk and staff were polite and helpful. The room itself was functional, though quite basic. However, there were significant drawbacks: • The on-site restaurant was not operational, and there was no room service available. The only food option was ordering a reheated frozen meal from the bar — hardly what you’d expect from a hotel of this level. • There was no safe in the room. Instead, I was told to use a shared downstairs room where a security guard would assist me each time I needed access. This was impractical and insecure, so I ended up carrying my valuables, documents, and devices with me at all times. • The towels were extremely worn out — clearly having survived hundreds of washes and long overdue for replacement. • Most concerning: I detected a camera in the room using a dedicated device. This raises serious privacy concerns and left me feeling deeply uncomfortable throughout my stay. I hope management takes these issues seriously, especially those related to guest safety...
