We stayed here one night en route from Calais to Frankfurt am Main. The room was small and clean, the beds were comfortable and there is lots of parking. Breakfast was good for a budget hotel: fruit, yogurts, cereal, cheese, ham, toast, hard-boiled eggs, jams, good coffee. The receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful. There was also a bit of grass outside for our dog to run on, although it was rather muddy (not the hotel's fault) and could do with someone clearing up the litter around the edges (something the hotel could do). |The locality is industrial but there is a massive indoor shopping centre (with cheap petrol) about 5 minutes walk away, and it is very close to the autoroute. Für den Preis eines Doppelzimmers (52 Euro/Nacht, zzgl. 3 Euro pro Hund/Nacht), hier mal nur die 52 Euro zu grunde gelegt, war es viel, viel, viel zu teuer. Das Zimmer war klein und das Bad war eine Plastikbausatzkabine von, naja vielleicht 1,5 qm. Man fand dort das Waschbecken zur Linken, mittig das WC und zur Rechten den Duschbereich mit Duschvorhang. Die Dusche an sich war so klein, dass man sich nicht umdrehen konnte ohne mit dem Körper entweder an der Wand oder dem Vorhang zu geraten. Und wir sind von normaler/eher kleinerer Statur. Dazu war die Halterung für die Duschbrause nicht mehr intakt. Das Bad war fensterlos, was kein Problem gewesen wäre, wenn das Abluftsystem gearbeitet hätte.

Das Zimmer hatte ein sehr kleines Fenster, was an sich schon wegen mangelnder Größe relativ wenig Licht herein lässt. Alle Zimmer sind allerdings jeder Zeit von Außen erreichbar. Es existiert also ein Durchgangsbalkon. Dieser bewirkt aber, da überdacht für die Erreichbarkeit der oberen Etage, dass noch weniger Licht durch das Fenster in den Raum gelangen kann, da sich das Fenster Richtung Durchgangsbalkon befindet.

Die Belüftungsmöglichkeit über das Fenster ist auch eingeschränkt, da das Fenster nur im Rahmen einer Feststellschiene zu öffnen ist. Das, und die nicht funktionierende Lüftung im Bad war vielleicht Ursache dafür, dass es im Zimmer und Bad insgesamt etwas muffig roch.

Zudem waren diverse kleinere Beschädigungen an den Wänden im Bereich der Türe vorzufinden und ebenso am Tisch.

Die Zimmer waren außerdem recht hellhörig und auf dem direkt angrenzenden Parkplatz war in der Nacht sehr viel los was Lärm verursachte. Lärm verursacht natürlich auch der Durchgangsbalkon, da schließlich die anderen Gäste diesen ebenfalls nutzen um zu den Zimmern zu gelangen. Wenn man dann noch das Fenster nachts zur Lüftung offen hat, wird man eben relativ oft geweckt.

Einzig die kostenlose, direkt angrenzende Parkmöglichkeit und das kostenlose WiFi rechtfertigen den Stern. Wobei man fragen kann, ob zumindest das WiFi heutzutage nicht schon, wie ein TV auf dem Zimmer, zum kostenlosen Standard gehört.

Insgesamt also viel zu teuer. Und von den Hotelzimmern, die wir bisher besuchten, das wohl...
