Terrible experience – avoid this place! The service was absolutely awful. During my stay, the staff seemed polite, but after my father checked out, they became extremely rude and unhelpful.

I booked through Booking.com and didn’t realize that the payment had already gone through. When I arrived at the hotel, the credit card hadn’t been charged yet, so I paid directly at the reception — only to find out later that I had been charged twice!

This means the receptionist clearly made a mistake by letting me pay again, and now I’m dealing with the consequences. I tried to contact the hotel for days with no response, and when I finally called, they hung up on me.

I then contacted Booking.com, who confirmed that the hotel refuses to refund the double payment. Their excuse? The invoice mentions “Bodart Nicolas Spa” — which is just the spa part of the hotel — and they claim this makes it a different payment. But they can clearly see in the system that I paid twice!

They know very well what happened, but they’re just trying to get away with it. Absolutely dishonest and unprofessional. The hotel itself is nothing special either, and you have to check out by 10:30 AM, which is super early.

Don’t waste your money or time — horrible service, rude staff, and dishonest management. Stay away...

Everything is enjoyable in this place. Great, professional and friendly welcome and service, the owners and their team really do their best - with success - to make you feel at home. The hotel is 1.5 km from the centre of the city, free parking. The rooms were renovated last year and are modern and great. They are also very clean. Coffee machine in the room for the addicts like me but you can also get anything from the bar whenever you want. Room 6 has a great view on the large garden and the swimming pool (swimming pool is secured in case you come with kids). Nicolas, the owner with his wife, is also the chef of the restaurant. I had a lovely dinner there - lunch is also possible. Great food, with several options of menus. A lot of non- residents do come for the restaurant so make sure to book your table. ||I really had a great time there,...

The hotel (actually the first mayor of Spa's mansion from the 19th century!) is a true gem for those who wants a priceworthy alternative with a calm atmosphere and wonderfully welcoming service. The place is situated at a walking distance form the city centre but far enough to get away from Spa's busy streets.
