Yim Saan Hotel — Hotel in Belmopan

We weren't excited when we opened the door to Room TEN. It was dark, strangely blank walls, excepting one dismal picture over the beds. One Queen, one full, with outdated coverlet. But clean sheets! Great TV reception. An AC that worked but a musty, fusty odor that was going to play havoc with sinus. A lovely sink, mirror, closet and separate WC with walk in shower w great water pressure and HOT water. Well, we were pleased to have a room and can't help but feel this might be the best hotel in Belmopan, sadly. For a capital city, there is not a plethora of nice AC hotel or restaurant options. Dismal. Depressing. We went looking for a bookstore. Or a book. No. Cannot buy any book. There is a complete dearth of culturally interesting anything. We just thought, no one comes here to vacation, they stay out on coast, or in jungle treetops. We can't recommend you go to Belmopan, for any reason. Ever. The restaurant made me an egg roll and porkfried rice that fit the bill! A generous whiskey and soda, too. Nice folks. The exterior grounds are beautifully groomed w exotic orchids, flowers, shrubs and cute decor touches. A green thumb lives here!! Wifi never...

Best place I've stayed in all of Belize so far. I've been traveling through the country for 10 days now, different place everyday and this place was by far the best, not just the value, but the service and quality too. The rooms were big and gorgeous and spotlessly clean, included fridge and microwave. Great water pressure, hot showers, very decent wifi (they don't have very fast internet anywhere I've been in Belize so far). And the price was cheaper than anything I've paid so far (I paid $70USD for a room upgrade but standard rooms are $45). The restaurant is likewise delicious and very reasonably priced. Honestly this is a great base of operations for any Belize tour, it's been a few days since I've stayed there and every new place I stay just makes me appreciate Yim Saan...

Spent 11 nights due to work. Very spacious clean room that included two double beds, desk, extra tables and chairs. ||Room with digital TV, AC, hot water, fridge, bottled water and ammenities. ||WiFi is free and the strenght of it's signal varies on where you are in the property, fairly well for basic data download. ||Very friendly staff.||The restaurant has a variety of chinese food and does not open until 11am, so you do have to go someplace else if you want to have breakfast. ||The market and bus station are within 20-25 minutes walking distance and can find several restaurants and stores along the way. ||The pictures you find on booking sites are pretty much...
