This will be the last time we ever book with Vacasa. For back ground, between me and my extended family we do about 12 rentals from them a year and they will be losing all of us.
We are currently here staying at Inn the Trees after having a HORRIBLE experience in their Swan Villas and no matter where you rent from them their places are always disgustingly dirty. It's obvious that when they come to 'clean' they just sweep the floors. The walls are COVERED with dirt, dried smashed bugs and their guts and boogers? How are you able to over look this? There is zero water pressure coming from the shower head and it's actually spitting water at us. There are bugs EVERYWHERE inside the rentals. And I'm not talking one or two. I'm talking creepy crawlies that have made families inside these rentals and when told about it they just shrugged my family off. When we booked this trip we were told it would be beachh side, and got here and it's not. We reached out to them weeks ago to confirm beach side and they didn't respond until almost day of saying no and that they couldn't help us. Even though I could go online and still book beach side. We are paying out the wazoo to stay at a place that is dirty, no functioning AC and doesn't have half the amenities that they promised in their booking. Did I mention 'beach side' where there is actual access to a beach is cheaper than where we are staying? In the middle of a sand pit with no access to water or a pool. When trying to respectfully tell them our concerns the woman we spoke to both on the phone and via email was so incredibly rude.
You're honestly better renting private here. I've talked to some other people who, surprise surprise, also had horrible issues with Vacasa and they gave me some great recommendations for places to stay from now on, outside of vacasas properties.
Please, save yourself the money, heartache and stress and go with someone else. They are...
Read moreWhat a pleasure it was to stay at the Mahogany Cabana at Inn The Trees. Upon arrival, Zun drove me to Publics (a local supermarket 5 minutes away) where I was able to find everything I needed for my stay. Both Zun and Chris were responsive and attended to any questions/ needs I had, and I can be a very picky guest - annoyingly so! I was even able to get fresh herbs from their garden to make myself Thai-inspired dishes with the local lemon grass and basil! :)||||The location is great as it's nestled in a quiet area, so really calm vibes. It's also only a 5-minute drive to Maya Beach and a 15-minute drive to Placencia town. There's parking available, and they have a few bikes on-site for any one who needs to zip around nearby. The cabana itself is well-designed and spotless! The AC unit in the bedroom is excellent and I had no problems with the heat. The sitting area upstairs is a great place to lounge and the sofa opens up into a comfortable double bed. The rain-shower was so appreciated (thank you) and the water pressure was great. My favourite spot to hang out during my stay was the terrace, a netted area exposed to the outdoors and at canopy-level of the trees that surround the cabana. Absolute gem!
