my stay was fine, but my experience with the owner, sabrina, was very bad!!
on my 3rd day of my stay, she has written an email to me reminding of covid rules and not using her mothers oven to get my pizza ready. she meantioned that she wants to protect her mum against covid because she is 88 years old and was very sick earlier this year. i apologized for having forgotten the covid rules since the guest house and the view lets you feel like your own home. i would have written the same email if i would be in her situation but i dont understand one thing: why did she then assign her mum to do the checkin process (showing the room etc) with me? (sabrina herself was abroad) but her so healthy young gentleman son was available and watching netflix. if i would want to protect my 88 year old mum from covid, i would NEVER EVER ASSIGN HER FOR CHECKING IN!!!!!! so i think the real reason for having written this stuff to me is that because she was angry on me cuz her mum has fallen down, it was my mistake and i apologized thousand times to her mum. by writing the email she just wanted to let her anger out.
after i checked out i messaged her that i needed an invoice, which is my absolute right, but she simply marked the message as seen. what do we learn from this: after she gets your money, you mean nothing to her. all politeliness was just acting and fake.
i really wished to have experienced the same like other people's references but as you can see things can get really nasty.
my name is selman, i have stayed in august 2021...
Read moreA couple of most know things when you travel here. There is no hotel shuttle service so if you have luggage you must take a cab and that will run $60.00us dollars one way. You are not near any shops or major city's so you would need to take a bus to dockyard and take another bus, the ferry or a taxi. If you are a US citizen you cannot rent a car. Once you book your place and upon arrival there is a $125.00 cash only holding fee for cleaning. Once all of that there is a big rule book to read through and added fees if you damage anything or bring sand into the apartment. A plus you are very close to the golf course if that is your thing and the beach resort if you wanted to grab a bite to eat. Or if you wanted to save some money head to the grocery store along the way and cook once you get to the apartment. I hope this information helped when deciding where to book. If I was going back I would book a hotel if I knew a lot of time was spent on the beach. even though Sabrina is very nice and helpful. If I was going for what I did I would definitely stay there. Except maybe rent a mo ped to save some...
Read moreBermuda's little secret. Had a wonderful stay here recently. Sabrina, the owner, greeted me upon my arrival and over a Dark 'n Stormy made me feel right at home. As I discovered during my stay, most people in Bermuda know Sabrina which translates into Sabrina is a tremendous resource during a stay - need a taxi, need a local restaurant recommendation, want to know how to make a rum swizzle - Sabrina has the answers. My room was quite nice - comfortable and the little kitchen allowed me to save a lot of money. It would be hard to find a better value for the money on Bermuda. If you are a golfer, Port Royal is right next door. The restaurant at Port Royal is a ten minute walk and has great food and an incredible view, especially for sunset. If you've never seen a sunset on this part of Bermuda, you've missed out.
Very glad I found Bermuda Connections....
