Dochula Resort — Hotel in Dochogla Maenchhuna

I am a teacher working in Bhutan. This was second time I stayed in Dochula Eco Retreat. The first time I came in May 2023 for a spring staycation. I was already impressed with the room, the service and of course the views. So I came again in Nov for a winter staycation. The room was very big and comfortable, right beside the balcony with the binoculars. The staff called me a few times to confirm, I had thought it was just normal confirmation. Nope, they purposefully called me so that they were able to switch on the 2 heaters in my room abd even electric mattress on my bed before I arrived, so that my room would be nice and warm! Do Chula Eco Retreat is a place which is at altitude of about 10000 feet . Location is just wonderful. Situated at tip of Hillock it has beautiful view of East and West. Facilities provide by resort and value for money. Rooms are specious, with full open window, having scenic view of valley. Retreat is recently renovated by new Owner Mr. Karma, who is also very friendly with his Guests. Staff at Retreat is very friendly and cooperative. Food is delicious and varies from guest to guest with some International items also included. Gift shop run by Retreat has very ethnic items and are moderately priced. When on our second Bhutan visit we decided to spend 7 days at this resort amidst pure nature with hills forest and 180 degree view of mountain at 10146 feet above sea level, our driver asked as if we going there to meditate. Its an experience to stay here. In the front end Ms Deki handled our reservation request on line. With new management there is wifi and non veg food and bar but no tea bags in the room , only a teamaker. Staff are extremely hospitable. Food is good.Try for family...
