This place is a dump. ||Things started badly with check in: the receptionist couldn't understand that 4 people with bags, arriving at a hotel, wanted to check in. Then he couldn't find our reservation. Then he didn't know which rooms we were meant to be in. Finally, some 30 minutes later, when we had at last managed to check in, we were handed a remote control and a toilet roll. ||Things got worse when we found our rooms. Being on the 6th floor didn't mean good views. One of our rooms overlooked a very noisy road. The window was frosted and didn't open. The other room had a large window but the window led only to a pile of rubbish stored in the corridor (see photo). ||The 5th floor of the building is given over to cafes in a shopping centre. At 10pm, the empty cafes had half a dozen TVs on full volume showing a film. There was no door to the staircase between the 5th and 6th floors, so the sound of the film could be heard quite clearly in our bedrooms. As well as that, anyone entering the shopping centre could walk up to the hotel bedrooms. ||One of group received an electric shock from his shower, which wasn't entirely surprising given the way that the wiring looked. Two of our friends were woken at 6am when the TV switched on automatically, showing Cartoon Network. At this point, we discovered, the remote controls we'd been given for the TV didn't work. If, at that point, you might be tempted to switch off the TV and use the WiFi, don't bother. That didn't work, either. ||Our online reservation said that breakfast was included. Unfortunately, no breakfast was provided. ||When we came to check out, the staff insisted that they couldn't accept the $1 bills that they had accepted the night before (our bill was $80, and we'd used 10x of our one dollar bills to pay), which led to further hassle. ||There's really nothing to commend this place. Pay for a taxi and get somewhere decent in La Paz. Any benefit you think you'll get from being close to the airport is far outweighed by the drawbacks of this place. There are much better value for...
Read moreDo not stay here. Pay the extra to go into La Paz. This hotel is on top of some shops on the bottom floor and a loud restaurant blasting TV noise until 11pm. The staff appeared friendly, but the person we met at night had no clue why we were there even though I'd made a reservation. The person in the morning said they couldn't accept the 10 $1 bills we paid the night before, meaning I had to go to the ATM and take out more, which only offered me a $20 bill. And then even though we paid the night before in 10's and 20's, she claimed they couldn't give me change. The rooms are tiny, ours consisted of a double bed with just enough room to walk around it and a bathroom with all the electric wires hanging out of the wall in the shower, which ended up giving me a shock when touching the taps. On top of that, the room was not clean, the walls were dirty. The WiFi doesn't work in the rooms. The building is still mostly a building site looking around a bit. Avoid this place...
