Hotel Esmeralda — Hotel in El Alto

Best hotel that saved my life. I got of the bus from Uyuni at 4am with a flight to catch at 3pm same day. So cold and terrible reaction to altitude. The lady at the hotel was so warm and welcoming and quick to response at night. I was really worried about this place because the entrance was all closed in the middle of the night but inside was clean and nice! With elevator. She even brought breakfast to my door because she knew I needed to shower and sleep since I haven’t slept much on the overnight bus. They have hot water so fast and everything in the room is so organized. They even have Netflix and prime videos!! I would recommend anyone who needs to stay next to the airport this hotel. Really good hotel in the heart of El Alto. It's close to the airport and the cable car station to La Paz.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The only problem was the window, because there was no sound and heat protection. It can be very cold in El Alto. For the latter one they brought us an electric radiator which really helped.

In booking they offer different price then they charged. It was twice more. Then they stopped communicating with Booking. Despite I had a bank confirmation they didn't admit the problem.
