I was here for a business trip for approximately 8 days, and stayed at the Hotel La Colonia for the entire trip. The hotel is equipped with a convention/banquet hall, restaurant, and hotel. There was complimentary continental breakfast, and an omelette station which was extremely delicious. Dinner at the restaurant was good too, although service was quite slow. The ambiance of the hotel was quaint. However, the location is a bit far from the city centre, although you can hail a taxi easily from the hotel at an affordable price.||||Depending on the room you get, the view of Cochabamba can be very good. However, the room I got only had windows that viewed the room across from me. There was also a frosted window in my bathroom, which I thought wasn't the best place for a window. The bathroom was also well equipped with a powerful shower faucet; however, the sink was simply built on top of a hallow concrete slab. There was a side hose that also dripped in the washroom (couldn't shut off the water valve), but I simply kept a towel beneath the hose to capture the water.||||The room, however, was spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. There was cable TV and wifi. The room and hotel was extremely luxurious in Bolivian standards, and I enjoyed my stay there. Just bring ear plugs in case if there is a party happening in the banquet hall - the music can be heard throughout the hotel into the wee hours of...
Read moreWe recently rented the Crystal Saloon for an event. The Event Manager "appeared" to have everything very organized and coordinated however during the time of the event-we could not have been more disappointed. The staff was not on point with replenishing the jugs of refreshments on the table. The HOUSE DJ was absolutely horrendous!!!!! Do not go with the house DJ!!!!!!! In addition, the DJ was taking pictures of a private event which was extremely unprofessional. Lastly, be extremely careful when reviewing the costs as we were over charged by $2K! Level of service and professionalism as well as the integrity of the entire event manager and staff is definitely not acceptable to the...
Read moreOur experience in this hotel could not have been worse. The pictures on the website could not have been more misleading. We were placed in the building next to the nice part of the hotel where the halls were open to the weather. The beds were like sleeping on stones-no joke. I have slept better on the ground. Lights were without bulbs, my bathroom window (no covering) looked out on a hallway! One of our rooms lost all electricity and they had no flashlights and could not move the guests to another room. Management was surly and the staff beaten down. We stayed there over two years ago and I am still mad. Never, ever consider this property under any circumstances! We had to move...
