The owner was very unfriendly and tried to rip us off when we asked for one room to have a break in 5 hours after check-out. He wiped us out from the hotel when we rejected his offer and waited in the lobby. First time I had experience a hotel that doesn’t allow their guests waiting in lobby. Particularly, you have no where to go and many restaurants take afternoon break. We stayed three nights in this hotel. One of the friend’s room in 1st floor was smelly all the time. The other friends in 3rd floor had dust on the tables and chairs and they had to clean by themselves every day. We were given a room on 2nd floor, so yes, 5 people were arranged in three different floor. Breakfast was included but only bread, butter, jam, juice tea and limit fried egg you had to ask for it. The hot water was not always available for shower which caused us...
Read moreI had an excellent stay at Kory Wasy after the Salar de Uyuni tour - a heated room was a welcomed benefit of the hostel. The pillows were lovely and fluffy but the mattress sagged in the middle.
The service was outstanding! Karina was so warm and friendly during check in that I later spent some time chatting with her at down reception. The men serving breakfast the next morning were lovely, and the food was delicious - coffee, freshly squeezed juice, fruit, cereal, bread and crackers, and freshly scrambled eggs.
The location is fantastic, in the centre of Uyuni. I will be recommending Kory Wasy to friends and...

The second night we wanted another double room, but the price jumped to $100 USD, because it was a few days before Dakar got into town. We were exhausted and vulnerable, so we agreed to a "special" price of $58 USD for a matrimonial room that was so small you stretch your arms out and touch opposing walls at the same time. It was in the same worn-out condition as the first room. Both nights we were repeatedly woken up by the doorbell which could be heard...
