Highly recommend this safari lodge. We arrived during a heatwave and were a bit anxious bc this lodge does not have air con. The rooms have large screens on most walls so the breeze from the delta cools your room. There are also ceiling fans and a fllor standup fan. The first night was hot. I went to bed with wet hair and wet towels to cook me off and actually slept ok. The next 2 nights were much cooler and there was no need for any extra measures. We are glad that we did not shy away from this lodge bc it was one of the best safari lodges any of us had ever stayed. The rooms are rustic but very comfortable, nicely appointed with a good bed. There is an outdoor shower attached to each room but I never used it The shower water pressure is decent. There is always ice and iced water in the rooms and a decanter of liquor. The rooms are very clean and airy.. They have a large fridge in the bar area that is well stocked and available to guests at any time. The rooms are right on the delta. If you stepped off your back porch, you'll step into the delta. The management team of Fifi, Giuliani and Khem are excellent. They make you feel so welcome and certainly no ade our trip more enjoyable. The staff, such as Ruari and Kaddy, are lovely and Ruari had me laughing every morning. When you arrive the staff is waiting for you with a song and dance. And they welcome you each night into the family-style dining room with a Botswana Song and dance. It is fun and lively and puts everyone into a great mood. The family style of eating means you get to meet some very fine folk from around the world. This camp will go the extra mile for you. One night, since it was warm, all the guests decided to do a river safari. They pull out a boat for each group of guests, which we all appreciated since some of us wanted to go find birds while others wanted animals and others just wanted to motor along the delta. We saw elephants in the river eating grass and motored up so close to them we could have almost have petted them. But, the guides know which elephants are docile and we all felt safe. Right before sunrise they took us to an elaborate bush bar they had set up on an island in the Delta. We had sundowner cocktails while watching the sun set. A day to never forget . Another example is on our last day my sister and I skipped the am safari. Our guide knew how much we wanted to see a leopard. He and my brother spotted one during their am safari and our guide radioed in to the lodge and Giuliani came to our huts ready to take us out to see the leopard. That kind of special treatment meant so much to us. And our guide, Sedic, was beyond fantastic. He was so patient with us and loves his job and his enthusiasm was catching. We saw lionesses with cubs and the big male king. Sedic was so knowledgeable and explained so much to us about the animal's characteristics. We saw amazing animals everyday and lions eating their water buffalo kills. Sedic knew so much about the birds, which my brother appreciated. He was an amazing guide and we felt lucky hd was ours. Our whole wonderful experience at this gem of a camp made us a convert to the Ker & Downey African safari camps and we will always look out for these camps while planning future safaris. In addition, when we flew to Maun as a stop on our way back home to the USA, Ker & Downey had Martha and Patrick meet us at the Maun airport to shepherd us through customs and help us get on the right Airlink plane. We were so surprised and their help was...

Food was pretty fantastic for the remoteness of the site and the open bar was well stocked.||Our guide Bonno was amazing; knew the park well, had great contacts with other guides on the CB radio to quickly find the action - “there’s a family of hyenas up north or some African wild dogs got spotted in the east or pride of lions on the hunt, what do you want to see?” Daughter told Bonno she wanted to see a baby hippo - done.||Thanks for a wonderful end to our Botswana experience, hope to see you again soon !||Ps - give our...
