Pousada dos Girassóis — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Canguaretama

i wrote a review about hotel villa do mar in Natal. just wanted to mentioned this so that you an compare. |I just came back from Brazil with my family ( 2 girls of 5 & 8). we had a great time because i read lots of reviews and asked friends and decided to spend 10nts in pipa and only 3 in Natal! well... the 3 nts inNatal were a complete wAste of time and money while our stay in Pipa was just memorable! i will try to write more details in DESTINATION PIPA|Pipa is small & SAFE! walking distance from nice restaurants and beautiful beaches! Natal is huge, unsafe and expensive!|Pousada dos Girassois overdelivered in service and " value for money"!|Casas (duplex) were big, nicely decorated and had 2 floor with 2 nice full toilets! one hammock, brand new A/C and fans in each floor and a big table with 4 chairs, glasses, plates etc so that you can buy food outside and eat while watching tv if kids are too tired one day! We had no issues with hot warm during shower rush hours ( 5-7pm) but heard some people who did. |Breakfast was abundant, full of fresh fruit and juices, cheeses, basic brazilian tasteless cakes but nice local dishes too available always visited by fun little squirrel-like monkeys that keep kids entertained! |Recepcion staff are friendly but not very resourcefull ( same all over Brazil) but MARCELO who works at night is! he knows all restaurants and best buggy drivers. but you wanted to relax and enjoy beaches and did for whole stay! Praia do Amor is the closest to hotel, 4 blocks from downtown and minivan service to all other beaches stop outside of hotel! |Pools are great though not extremely clean since i guess the water is not filtered everyday. |the only minus is that there is a CHURCH and a DISCO nearby and they can be VERY noisy! but if you close doors, especially toilet door since the evangelical church of the screaming little pastor is behind the pousada, is not a big deal! but i guess some people may need airpluggs to sleep as this crazy people start praying at 5:30 am with sunrise and get more excited as the day goes on with screaming sessions in the evening! part of the Brazilian experience! hotel Restaurant is elegant, simple but gourmet menu and very...

I have no enough words to express the beauty of this place.||It is perfectly located in the end of the main street, and just two blocks from Praia do Amor.||It occupies almost an apple, so once you check in and walk in the gardens you have not expected what you see. A beautiful garden, perfectly designed,with full of vegetation, that we even didn't notice the rooms constructions. ||In the middle the pools sourunded of vegetation and beds to lie down.||No matter if the place is full or not, it is so quiet, that we could barely heard a noise.||The restaurant, main bar where we had breakfast every morning is well designed, with special touches everywhere. Sculptures from local artists decorated the place.||Breakfast is very good, the rooms very clean and spacious. We had a superior one, with a mini fridge and kitchen.||The staff is also very helpful and Pipa is a paradise.||For those who complained a bit about the steps to access the beaches, I have to say that it is part of its charm. Of course I wouldn't recommend it to elders, but I have to say that it is not dangerous, and I'm glad they try to keep it that way.||So, just...

Posada demasiado cara para la calidad de servicio que ofrece.||Puntos en contra: 1) LIMPIEZA. La habitación tenía paredes sucias y el baño con suciedad ancestral - la ducha tenía ese óxido verde en las paredes, y las paredes del baño al no ser totalmente de azulejos tenía hongos en varios lados - incluido donde ponen las toallas lo cual es MUY anti-higienico. ||2) Por otro lado, para que limpien la habitación hay que dejar la llave en la recepción todos los días - y la recepción está lejos de las habitaciones (en vez de ponerla en la entrada de la posada la pusieron en una zona alejada que se accede si o si por escaleras - creeme, despues de 3 dias subiendo y bajando escaleras y pendientes permanentemente en pipa es un castigo tener que llevar y recoger la llave de la habitacion todos los dias).||3) El desayuno es mediocre. La comida no es de muy buena calidad ni es muy variada. Hay dias que alternan los jugos y si no te gusta ninguno, te lo perdés. Nunca hay un jugo "popular" que permanezca siempre - te complican. La cocoa suele estar "dura" lo que es sinonimo de vieja o mal guardada. La zona de desayunar apenas tiene 3 ventiladores que no dan para nada, algunos se rompen y te quedas sin ventilador ||4) El personal atiende de MUY mala gana. Solamente un muchacho de la recepción fue amable, y otro que fue amable algunas veces. El resto (sobre todo las mujeres del desayuno y la mujer de la recepción) nos atendieron de muy mala manera, varias veces siendo groseras en diversas oportunidades. Nos quedamos 8 días por lo cual puedo decir con certeza que es su forma de atender a todos los que van ahí - no fue algo personal.||5) Tiene piscina que está sucia!!! En 8 días nadie la limpió, y no solo eso sino que se ve flotando partículas y mugre en el fondo. Cuando el agua de una piscina no está transparente.... !!||6) Es un hotel que te restringe demasiado, al menos en los papeles. En la habitación hay unas "instrucciones" que son muy restrictivas - para todo tienen un comentario.||7) La habitación no tiene ropero - le arrancaron las puertas y tiene unos estantes hechos de material que están muy sucios!!!! La verdad que te da hasta asco dejar tu ropa limpia allí - es muy desagradable||8) Zarigüeyas/Comadrejas en el techo de la habitación - durmiendo con nosotros! Está ok con la biodiversidad y evitar matar animales, pero la posada debería sellar los techos (tienen un doble techo abierto por el lateral) para que los animales no se metan en el techo. Es imposible dormir con el ruido del animal rascando la madera del techo y con el chillido que hacen. Por otra parte, desde el techo cayó materia fecal de animales cuya identidad no pudimos determinar - obviamente se hicieron los reclamos correspondientes pero nada ocurrió - ofrecieron cambiar a otra habitación que estaba plagada de hormigas coloradas grandes, por tanto no era una opción.||Puntos a favor: 1) aire acondicionado en las habitaciones; ||2) habitaciones amplias con tv y frigobar; ||3) ofrece shampoo, jabon y acondicionador todos los días.||4) hicimos late check out y nos permitieron quedarnos en la habitación incluso después de la hora del late check out - lo cual con el calor que hace en pipa fue elemental!||5) Podés tomar 1 toalla por día para usar en la...
