Got 4 room for 14 people total. At 3:30am I leave for the airport to to drop two people off. Before leaving the hotel my father hands me some cash, about $5000 in different currencies since he wasn't gonna need those currencies where he was going. He wraps it in a bad and to my memory he puts it in his hand bag and tells me to take his bag and the money home. |I leave my bag and his hand bag in the room since I was gonna come back to sleep some more and make my trip tongue airport. |About 5am I come back and sleep until 7am to drop the rest of the people to the airport. I take the 2 bags but didn't look around the room because I was gonna come back to do the check out and leave.|I come back at 11am from the airport to do my check out and the receptionist tells me that it has been done already. Me thinking that the money was in the bag I asked the receptionist if anything was found and she says no. Stupid me started to hard back to my home city (about 5 hours out) and when I get home I check the back and the money was gone. |At first I thought my father left the bag with money by the tv so I called the hotel asking to double check the rooms for what I lost. And of course I got nothing. |After speaking with my father I got confirmation that he had indeed put the money in the bag... so I called again and asked to speak to a manager. The reception manager was just plain rude yelling at me as soon as he got on the phone. So I asked for the general manager's number and called and got similar response. |At this point I was really pissed in that checked me out without me being there but that wasn't gonna get me anywhere. |I kindly asked the manager to please check the hallway camera to see if anyone gets in or out of my room between 3:30 and 5am and all he was saying is sure sure... I just asked him to let me know regardless but after a week I haven't heard back at all. ||I know it was my fault for leaving cash in the room while not being there. But at this point it makes me feel like most of the night stuff and later even the general manager has something to do with the robery. And I call it robery because if the money never made it to my father's handbag and was left on the bed or tv counter, they still don't have the rights to check me out before check out time and without me being there. ||Also the rooms suck. Get to some newer hotels downtown for the same price and a lot...

Read moreThis is based on my own experience and since I travel quite a lot, I have other experiences as a reference. |This hotel was part of a traveling package. |The day we arrived (around 9:00 pm), 3 full big buses were parked outside, therefore the dining room (huge) was full and very loud and the wifi didn't work, there is a buffet style dining but almost everything was gone so we had some bolognese pasta. |Once in the room, I felt disappointed, it was so old, the water (shower) was lukewarm, the room smelled like bleach and the double beds are full size, not queen size, my bed cover was stained. The good thing is that we had air conditioning. |Next morning there was a long line for the coffee, again due to the amount of people; this is low season, I can't imagine what is like in the summer! but they all left that day and the wifi started working, the dining experience also got better without the big crowds, the attendants at the buffet were very nice too and the food was ok. The hotel has a big pool. |When checking out, double check the bill! Some people, including us had extra charges that didn't apply to our rooms. |When driving around the town I realized there are many old hotels like this one, if we ever go back to Iguazú, we will choose the Argentinian side which seems to have more modern...
