Nice hotel with good facilities in a really useful location. Would give 4.5 if possible. We only stayed two nights as a stop over on the way to Paraguay, but Luz was a really good choice. It could not have been better located for the bus station for our onward journey.
Staff were very helpful, especially Rafael. My Portuguese is awful, even though I tried. His English is excellent! He gave good advice on restaurants and getting to the falls in Brazil that really helped us. We visited the unbelievable waterfalls, and thorough enjoyed the bird park.
Rooms were spacious and clean but we weren't there long enough to use the pool facilities so can't mention them. Just one issue - the room was very damp. When you came back of an evening, clothes etc had that cold damp feeling. I opened the windows as often as I could to air the room but on our final evening there was condensed water running down the corner pipe chase. Could be a seasonal issue with the slightly cooler winter weather.
Did all we wanted it to, though, and we were happy...

Read moreI have stayed with four more companions for three nights in this hotel which is just opposite the central bus terminal Rodoviario. At first, I was shocked by the outside looks of the hotel. English - like in most places in Brazil - is not commonly known.|When I then reached my room on 4th Floor, I was more than happy: a newly refurbished, large room with a Kingsize bed, Office space and a new bathroom with shower. Absolutely top: double-glassed windows that keep out any noise from the nearby bus station, with shades built in (German Engineering :-)|Breakfast was very good with lots of choice from Müesli to fruit and hot dished.|We did not try out Swimming pool and Jacuzzi - but its all there.|The owner told us that they first refurbish inside of hotel before they will renovate outside. A wise decision for...
