Pousada Montserrat — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Juiz de Fora

The pousada is beautiful, located right in the heart of Maringa/Maromba. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants, but the pousada itself feels quiet and secluded. We rented a deluxe chale and had an amazing indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, and hot tub. We also had a deck overlooking the river. It was paradise. The staff was efficient, helpful and friendly. Everyday they cleaned the room they also rebuilt the logs and kindling in the fireplace for us to light a new fire that night. Breakfasts had plenty of food: eggs, sausages, lots of different breads and cakes, yogurts, fruit. We had a great time and would love to come back! Very relaxing and beautiful place. We de recommend renting a 4 wheeler if you want to go see the waterfalls, as the roads that lead up to the waterfalls are very bad...

This B&B comprises wooden chalets dispersed over a large garden. The one we occupied had all the basics: quiet, clean sheets and towels, decent bathroom, comfortable bed. No A/C, but you are not likely to ever need it there, over 1,400 m altitude. Breakfast was good also, diversified and fresh.
