Pousada & restaurante Beehouse — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Paranaguá

We (me, my wife and 2 kids) were supposed to stay at Beehouse - Ilha do Mel for 3 nights. The trip from Curitiba to Pontal was very nice and straightforward by rental car. We parked by close to the docks and the parking staff took our bags to the boat. The half hour crossing to Nova Brasilia was smooth. Once there, our luggage was taken to the pousada on a cart. The arrival at Beehouse was good, they received us very well. We booked the chalet, which is a shed detached from the main house, in the backyard of the property. The room was supposed to accommodate the 4 of us, but it was not big enough for a couple. The electrical installations were very precarious. The "bathroom" was tiny, with a very small sink with a hanged mirror on the opposite side (weird to shave) and an electrical shower with poor waterflow. Outside, there was a pile of junk under banana trees, where lived several huge lizards. The mosquitoes arrived in the afternoon and spend the night with us, even with air-conditioning working at max, they kept buzzing all night. We then decided to leave the next day. As the staff were very nice, we gave a excuse to leave, but I think that this review can help them improve. The island is a beautiful place that deserve good quality...

A very lovely little place to stay in Farol village. Romulo and his wide are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Rooms are very comfortable, big bed, cable TV, private mini-deck, ensuite. Wifi is decent too. Tried the tuna burger for dinner one night and it was surprisingly good! Quite close to a few beaches. Do the walk over to Encantadas harbour, via Praia Grande, Miguel and the next beach (and then get the water taxi back). An easy 1 1/2 hours with some great views...

We stayed 3 nights in Beehouse. The owner and staff are all very helpful. The B&B is very clean and has comfortable rooms. The rooms are not very big, but when visiting Ilha do Mel you don't want to stay in your room all day anyway. Beehouse has a nice veranda at the back where you can relax in the hammock. At the front of the B&B is the breakfast area which is also a restaurant with delicious food. The breakfast is nice with homemade cakes and different types of...
